Our 3 Days Kahuzi Biega National Park leads you to one of the house to the most biodiverse protected area in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. You will be able to encounter with these unique endangered lowland gorillas. Kahuzi Biega National Park is among the few places in Africa to encounter the lowland gorillas and other primate’s species.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick-up from Kigali Rwanda and cross to Bukavu
Depending on your location in Kigali, our safari driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Nyungwe National Park with spectacular view of beautiful rolling hills in Rusizi with stopover for en-route lunch. You will cross through Cyangugu border to Border to Bukavu town in Democratic Republic of Congo. Upon arrival at Bukavu a nearest town to Kahuzi Biega, advance to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Panorama.

Day 2: Lowland gorilla trekking – Cyangungu
After having a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the Eastern lowland gorillas. Thereafter, you will set off to an exciting experience of meeting face to face with these rare creatures.
The trekking experience takes you into the valley of Kahuzi where you will be able to spot different mammals, various birds and primates. It can last 1 to 6 hours’ experience, depending on their location while watching them, enjoy picture taking as well as capturing videos for your future remembrance.
You will then descend back and meet up with your driver to drive you back to your hotel for Dinner and overnight at Hotel Panorama as night before.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
Have early morning breakfast and set back to Kigali city. The drive takes 7 hours’ drive passing through Nyungwe national park with en- route visit to the King’s palace in Nyanza and Butare national museum before proceeding to Kigali with lunch en route, connect to Kigali International Airport for your flight departure.
End of 3 days Kahuzi Biega.
Note that your Rwanda Visa expires immediately you cross into Congo so you will have to reapply for another while at the border and find it ready after the tour.
