January and February
Start of the year, some people are extending their vacations at this time as others are going back to work to start the year with a bang.

March to May:
This is one of the slow seasons in the safari business because there’s not a lot of activity in the wild that people would want to see. However, you will not fail to get something to enjoy in their wild.
Mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi National Park, Mgahinga National Park. Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and DRC’s Virunga National Park can be done so you can try that out.
Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda’s Kibale National Park and Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda is also an activity to look out for.
Kenya’s Amboseli National Park also during these months has an elephant migration that is interesting to see.
Other places to visit at this time may be Uganda’s tourism capital Jinja where activities happen there all through the year, Kigali City in Rwanda for a number of festivals and Zanzibar the coast is always serving holiday ambience.
June to August
This is the most popular season in the safari business. It’s the peak of safari. In Fact, everything you want to see in the wild, you are able to see; so, all the safari destinations are okay to visit. Well in these months you will spoil for choice that the only way to choose where to visit will be on the basis of other reasons not that you will not have to do at a destination. The destinations that should be a must for you are: –
In Rwanda Volcanoes National Park, Akagera National Park and Nyungwe National. For activities such as mountain gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking, game drives, bird watching, boat rides, chimpanzees trekking and many other activities in the different respectively.
In Kenya and Tanzania; this is the peak of the wildebeest great Migration between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. the wildebeests crossing the different rivers, being eaten by the big five animals as others escape death, etc. It’s a thriller of a wildlife cycle. September to November
The peak season is fading away and there’s a lot of activities going on. But be sure to see some unique mammals like the Cheetahs in Uganda’s Kidepo National Park and Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.
Uganda’s lake Mburo National Park is a perfect destination for boat rides in these months.
December
Just like June to August, all destinations are perfect to visit in December across all East African countries
