Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive and Shimoni/Wasini Exploration
You will be picked up from the agreed location in Nairobi and set off to Shimoni or to Wasini Island. These are the perfect bases for a multi-day trip, allowing you to support the local community rather than booking from distant hotels.
In the afternoon, go to explore the local area. Visit the Shimoni slave caves, a haunting site where enslaved people were held before being shipped to Zanzibar.
In the evening, enjoy a relaxing time as you wait for dinner at a local restaurant, experiencing the local food and culture.

Day 2: Full Day Marine Park Excursion
After having breakfast, take a boat trip from Shimoni or Wasini Island to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park. You will enjoy dolphin spotting, snorkeling, or diving in the beautiful coral garden and watch the diverse marine life.
Enjoy a seafood lunch, served on Wasini Island after the Marine Park visit.
In the afternoon, go explore Wasini Island, take a guided walk to learn about the local Digo and Swahili cultures. You will also visit the mangrove boardwalk to see the ecosystem.
Connect to the lodge before sunset for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Departure
On your final day of the safari, you can do another activity like a dhow tour along the coast, further exploration of Wasini Island, or visiting the Wasini Coral Gardens.
