Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Start with departing early from Dar es Salaam and take the ‘’Standard Gauge Railway’’ train to Morogoro, enjoying a comfortable and scenic journey. Arrive at the Morongoro train station, then continue your drive to Mikumi National Park. Arriving in the afternoon and heading on an exciting game drive through Mikumi’s wildlife-rich Mkata Floodplain. During your game drive, you will spot animals like elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, among others. Your overnight stay will be at a lodge or camp in Mikumi.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

On this day, you will spend the full day exploring Mikumi’s scenic landscape and wildlife. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives, visiting areas like the Mkata floodplain, a hotspot for predator-prey interactions.  Have a break for your packed lunch in the pack. Return for an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Mikumi and Transfer to Saadani National Park ‘’6hrs’’

After breakfast, we followed a transfer to Saadani National Park. Arrive in the afternoon with a game drive in Saadani National Park and settle into your accommodation near the park. You will relax and enjoy the perfect coastal setting of Saadani, where wildlife roams close to the beach. Have an overnight stay at a beachside lodge in Saadani.

Day 4: Depart for Dar es Salaam

You will start the morning with a guided game drive in Saadani, where you might encounter elephants, buffalo, and even lions near the ocean. Return to your lodge for breakfast, then drive back to Dar es Salaam.
