The western Uganda is one of the four regions in the country of Uganda .it consists of more than 30 districts for example Ntungamo, Mbarara, Isingiro, Kiruhura, Rubirizi, Rukungiri, Sheema, Buhweju, Mbarara, Ntoroko, Kabale, Kibaale Kanungu, Kisoro, Kiryadongo, Kyegegwa, Kyenjonjo, Mitooma, Bushenyi, Ibanda and more many others.
The western region is a tourist region it boasts national park wildlife, mountains which gives chances of hiking, trekking and tracking different primates. The top attractions in the western region include; Bwindi impenetrable national park in Kisoro, Murchison falls national park in Masindi, Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, Mgahinga gorilla national park in Kisoro, Kazinga channel, Kibale forest national park, Lake Mburo national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Rwenzori mountains national park, Bigodi wetlands national park, Igongo cultural centre and others
Best activities to do while on safari in the western Uganda include;
Chimpanzee trekking: this is basically done in in Kibale national park, it involves hiking with local trackers, rangers, to find and observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, learning about their unique glimpse behaviours and how they socialize with human beings
Gorilla trekking: this is the climbing, hiking and moving through the lush forests to see gorillas and interact with them. This is basically done at Bwindi impenetrable and Mgahinga gorilla national parks which are located in the districts of Kabale and Kisoro.
