Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

  • Arrival: Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, we will pick you and transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala. Dinner and overnight at your lodge according to the standard 

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

  • Transfer to Murchison and Rhino Trekking: Day 2 of 10 Days Uganda safari starts with an early breakfast and then drive to Murchison falls national park. We will have a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the only place in Uganda where you can see Rhinos.  Here you will have a wonderful experience tracking the southern white rhinos. After Rhino trekking we drive to Masindi town where we will have our lunch break after that proceed to Murchison Falls National Park to check at your accommodation.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

  • Game Drive: Have an early breakfast before we go for a morning game drive on the northern sector of the park. We will have chances to see large cats and other big game during our game drive. The residents of the park include: Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, Kobs, Gazelles, Topis, elephants and if you’re lucky lions and leopards.
  • Boat Cruise: After lunch, we take wonderful boat cruise to the bottom part of the Murchison Falls where you will see how the River Nile marvelously squeezes its way through a 7-meter-wide gorge. We have an optional hike to the top of the falls if interested. After the boat ride, we return back to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

  • Transfer to Kibale National Park: On day 4 of 10 Days Uganda safari we transfer to our second destination that is Kibale Forest National Park with a lunch break in Fort Portal.  After lunch we drive to Kibale Forest Park bares homage to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the Chimpanzees and also contains over 375 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & afternoon Swamp walk

  • Chimpanzee Trekking: Breakfast will be served early then we head to Kibale National Park for the chimpanzee tracking experience this morning. We will spend time in the forest looking for these wonderful appes and other 12 primate species and a large number of bird species. Kibale forest is the most renown destination for Chimpanzee trekking in Africa with over 90% chances of viewing Chimpanzees. We will spend only one hour with chimpanzees after meeting them.
  • Bigodi Swamp Walk: After trekking chimpanzees, we drive back to our lodge for lunch and some relaxing. After lunch, we go for an afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi wetland for more primate species and birds, retire back to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

  • Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park: After our morning breakfast we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park as we enjoy the close view of the Mountain Rwenzori. We will check in our lode in mid-morning we wait for lunch before we go for evening game drive in Kasenyi in search for lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes, Oribi, Warthogs and other game.

Day 7 Morning Game drive and afternoon Boat cruise

  • Morning Game drive: Have an early morning game drive in search for the big game like Uganda kobs, Antelopes, Lions, Buffalos, Bushbucks, Kobs, leopards, Hyenas, Topis and many more. After the game drive, we return back to our lodge for late breakfast and lunch. 
  • Boat Cruise: After lunch, drive to the Mweya peninsula where we will take our boat cruise at 2pm at the Kazinga Channel where we will see more animals especially Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos, Crocodiles and others as they come to take water not forgetting migratory waterbirds at the shores of the channel.   After the cruise drive back with enroute game drive for leopards and more Elephants and other game.

Day 8 Queen to Bwindi

  • Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: On day 8 of 10 Days Uganda safari we transfer to Bwindi a home of the rare mountain Gorillas. Our drive takes us to the southwards via the Ishasha sector which is a home for tree-climbing lions. Here you will have a brief game drive as we look for tree-climbing lions and other game before we continue with our drive to Bwindi.  We will continue with a stop enroute for lunch before we continue to our lodge where we get refreshments and dinner served later. 

Day 9 – Gorilla Trekking

  • Gorilla Trekking: Certainly one of the most exciting days of your 10 Days Uganda safari that is doing gorilla tracking. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing starts at 7am and the gorilla trekking starts at 8 am. The hike can take some hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas from the previous night but mostly from one to seven hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away

Day 10: Bwindi to Entebbe & departure 

  • Departure: As we conclude our 10 Days Uganda safari experience we will drive back to Kampala with a lunch break at Mbarara. We will also have a brief stop at the Equator for pictures then continue to Kampala or Entebbe.
