DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda the pearl of Africa.
Welcome to Uganda: Upon Landing at Entebbe international airport on day 1 of 14 days Uganda safari, you will be met by your safari drive who will introduce himself to you then drive you to the hotel in Kampala for an overnight sleep. Depending on your arrival tie, you may enjoy a city tour exploring different parts of the city before returning to your hotel for dinner.
Day 2: Rhino trekking and transfer to Murchison falls National Park
Rhino trekking and transfer to Murchison falls national park: After breakfast on day 2 of 14 days Uganda safari, check out of your hotel and be ready for a drive from Kampala to Masindi where you will first visit the Ziwa White Rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking that lasts about 2 hours. After trekking Rhinos, proceed to Masindi town for an enroute lunch and head to Murchison falls national park via Kichumbanyobo gate where you will visit top of water falls on your way to the park for check in, dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise- Top of falls hike (Optional)
Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise: After breakfast on day 3 of 14 days Uganda safari, meet your driver for a morning game drive in the savanna plains of the park where you will encounter with plenty of mammals since this park is the largest and yet the oldest savanna park in Uganda. You will encounter with Elephants, lions, Uganda kob, buffaloes, giraffes, and many more that thrill in this savanna park.
After game drive, head to the lodge for lunch then enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along Nile River Upstream to the bottom of the waterfalls. You will be stopped at a distance where you will view the waterfall, take photographs, record videos and many more. There is yet an option of Top of falls hike that is always enjoyed by the fit both mentally and physically.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park
Transfer to Kibale forest national park: After breakfast on day 4 of 14 days Uganda safari, check out of the lodge and exit Murchison falls national park as you embark on a transfer to Kibale forest national park one of the best primate destination in Uganda that harbors 13 species of primates in the forest. Being a full day drive, lunch will be enjoyed enroute while dinner will be at the lodge upon arrival.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk.
Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk: Enjoy your early morning breakfast on day 5 of 14 days Uganda safari, then meet your driver for a transfer to Kanyanchu visitor’s center where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts during chimpanzee trekking. After briefing, take your 2-5 hours of searching for the habituated troop of chimpanzees in their natural habitats then spend an hour in their presence taking photographs. After all, exit the forest back to your lodge for lunch. Later in the evening, you will be returned to Kanyanchu where you will then be led into Bigodi wetland for a guided walk in search of different bird species and botanical.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park: On day 6 of 14 days Uganda safari, wake up on a relaxed breakfast then check out of the lodge ready for a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. Expect to be at the park in time for lunch then proceed to check in, enjoy your meal and have a thrilling evening game drive. You may as well choose to spend your evening at leisure.
Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise: As soon as you are done with breakfast on day 7 of 14 days Uganda safari, meet your driver for an early morning game drive in the wilderness of Kasenyi plains where you will be able to encounter with several mammals, birds and the entire thrilling vegetation cover of the park that looks stunning. During game drive in this Kasenyi plains, look out for different mammals including; elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Uganda kob, and many more. You will as well spot plenty of bird life. Return to your lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the kazinga channel where you will spot a huge school of Hippos, and other aquatic wildlife like Crocodiles, water birds among others. Day 8: Ishasha game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Game drive in Ishasha sector and drive to Bwindi: After breakfast on day 8 day of 14 days Uganda safari, pack your lunch box and be driven to Ishasha sector for a morning game drive amidst tree climbing lions. You will as well spot other mammals that thrill in this part of the park. After game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch and exit the park for a drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will check in your lodge for dinner and grab an overnight sleep.`
Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking: Enjoy your breakfast on day 9 of 14 days Uganda safari, pack all that you need during the trek including drinking water, trekking gears, and many more then be transferred to the briefing grounds. Where you will be join the rest of trekkers for briefing before penetrating the forest to search for the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. During gorilla trekking, you will be able to encounter with other forest dwellers including more primates, mammals, birds and be able to identify different plant species. The trek lasts from few minutes to several hours about 8 hours depending on the movement of gorillas, and the trekking speed of the slowest person in the group. After finding gorillas, you will spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and closely interacting with the gorillas then exit the forest and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep. You may as well choose to have an evening batwa experience where you will learn more about the previous life style of the Batwa that used to survive through hunting and gathering. Remember to return to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 10: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for canoe ride
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for Canoe ride: After breakfast on day 10 of 14 days Uganda safari, check out of the lodge and be driven from Bwindi impenetrable national park direct to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district where you will check in your lodge for lunch. After lunch, embark on an afternoon canoe ride to explore different islands that are found on the Lake island has its unique history thus a local guide will help you in discovering all the hidden secrets about these islands. After canoe ride, you may have a guide walk or a community tour then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Transfer to Lake Mburo national park: Upon finishing your relaxed breakfast on day 11 of 14 days Uganda safari, check out of the lodge and embark on a drive to Lake Mburo national park which is the nearest park close to Kampala the capital city of Uganda. Lunch will be enroute in Mbarara city while dinner will dinner will be at the lodge upon arrival.
Day 12: Walking safari and afternoon boat cruise
Walking safari and boat cruise: Enjoy your relaxed breakfast on day 12 of 14 days Uganda safari, then head out for an early morning walking safari in this savanna park. Lake Mburo national park is the smallest and yet the only park in Uganda that offers walking safaris. During the walk, you will be able to spot several mammals that thrill in the park including zebras, Impalas, Topis, Buffalo and many more that thrill in this savanna park. After the walk, return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat cruise where you will spot ore mammals along the shores of the lake. Then enjoy an enroute game drive as you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 13: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
Morning game drive and return to Kampala: After breakfast on day 13 of 14 days Uganda safari, head out for a thrilling morning game drive in this savanna park where you will encounter ore mammals including those seen previously. After game drive, return to your lodge for lunch then exit the park and be driven to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator in Biharwe where you will take photographs. Proceed to Kampala and expect to arrive in the evening for check in, dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 14: Departures
Departures: Depending on your flight details, you will wake for an early morning breakfast then enjoy a brief city tour to visit some of the important sites like the museum, monuments, shops and many more then have lunch and be transferred direct to Entebbe international airport for a flight back hoe or to the next destination.
