Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
The first day of your safari is for transfer to Lake Mburo national park, have an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo and a night game drive. On this you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast, meet your safari drive who will brief you about the safari and then embark on your journey of 4 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo national park. Lake Mburo national park is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda but greatly gifted with nature and wildlife, the park consists of many small lakes with Lake Mburo as the big one from which the park drives its name, rolling hills and dominated short savannah grasslands. Lake Mburo national park is a habitant to animals such as otters, buffalos, antelopes, several hippos, crocodiles and many more. And many birds such as rare shoebill, African fish eagle, kingfishers, blue headed weaver birds, herons and many more.
On your way to the park you will make a stopover at the equator for amazing pictures and then proceed to the park, upon reaching the park you will check into your lodge, have lunch and drive to the plains of the park for an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo. As you ride on the calm waters of the lake you will see many animals in the plains of the park and many birds, after the boat cruise you will proceed for an evening game drive. Evening/night game drive is the best experience to see nocturnal animals and predators with a help of a spotlight, on this experience you will see animals like porcupines, bushbabys, and lions as they look for their prey. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala
On the second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for early morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to the plains of Lake Mburo national park for a morning game drive. Morning game drive is the best experience to see many animals as they are always in groups, as you drive you see animals like elands, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, impalas, waterbuck, herds of Ankole cattle and many more. The drive takes approximately 2-3 hours and after the drive you will exit the park and embark on your journey back to Kampala which is a drive of 4 hours, upon reaching Kampala you will have lunch and embark on an optional city tour on which you will pay a visit to places like Kasubi tombs, Uganda museum, the Gadhafi mosque and many more. After the city tour you will be dropped off either at your hotel in Kampala or be transferred to Entebbe international airport for departure, your drop off marks the end of your safari.
