Our 2 Days Mgahinga Golden Monkey Tour is a short safari tour package that leads you into the wild of great mountain gorillas and active primates ‘’the golden monkey,’’ among other attractions. The main done activities here are gorilla trekking and golden monkey tracking follows and other activities are the nature walk, Batwa community visit among others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Depending on your location in Kigali on the first day of the 2 days Mgahinga Golden Monkey Tour in Uganda from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park the journey lasts 4 to 5 hours’ drive passing through Katuna border in Kabale. A long the way you will enjoy spectacular views of beautiful rolling hills in Rwanda, terraced farmlands, scenic scenery among others. You will arrive at your booked accommodation. ‘’ few drive from Hotel to the park ” check in for dinner and overnight stay at Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge – Midrange, Travelers Best Camp -Budget

Day 2: Golden monkey and Departure to Kigali
Wake up early enjoy breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the meeting point for briefing about Golden Monkey tracking rule. After, the park ranger will lead you into the forest trails in search of these active species ‘’the golden monkey. The experience can last between 1 to 4hours hours, once you allocate them one hour will be given you to watch them as they jump from one bamboo tree to another, feed, play and behave. Then after, walk back to the meeting point to meet up with your guide to drive you to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch followed by check out of the lodge and start your journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival, our driver guide will drop you off at Kigali international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of convenience.
