This 2 Days Tembo Escape Safari leads you to comfortable safari to enjoy the unmatched Tarangire National Park a home of up to 300 elephants who scratch the dry river bed for underground streams. It also takes you to visit Ngorongoro Crater one of the largest Calderas in the world. Both places allow you to watch the big five including a black rhino. You will have the chance to interact with the local Maasai people.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha and Transfer to Tarangire National Park
On this day, you will depart Arusha a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon the arrival at the park, you will be greeted by a landscape dominated by scenic baobabs rising out of the acacia parkland, forming an excellent backdrop for the large herds of African Elephants roaming on a wide land.
Other mammals sharing this habitat range from Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Black-backed Jackal, Kirk’s Dik-Dik, Dwarf, Banded Mongoose, Impala, Steinbok, Beisa Oryx and African Hare many more. Also expect to see Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, and Waterbuck.
The park is also a good site for birding with a variety of birds to see such as the Maasai Ostrich, White-headed Vulture, African Scoops Owls, and the endemic Ashy Starling. Enjoy lunch at the lodge. After, drive to the lodge –Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater – Depart to Arusha
After a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, descend into the craters – a natural habitat to various animal species such as Wildebeest, Coke’s Hartebeest, Grant’s and Thomson’s Gazelles, and common zebras feed among others. Birding in craters varies according to the seasons and the commonly spotted species include; the crowned Crane, Lappet-faced Vulture, Black-bellied and Kori Bustards, Fischer’s Lovebird and Northern Anteater chat many more. Have lunch to be saved at the designed picnic site in the Ngorongoro Crater. Later you will drive back to Arusha town.
