3 day Uganda Gorilla Safari

3 Day Uganda Gorilla Safari is a very short safari tour that will see you visit the amazing Bwindi impenetrable National Park to explore the Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi forest is one of Uganda’s top tourist destinations.

Highlights of the 3 Day Uganda Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi

Arrival and transfer to Bwindi: Start your 3 day Uganda Gorilla safari with an early morning breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. After you will be met by your driver-guide who will brief you on the itinerary and transfer you to Bwindi. The drive of the first day is long but worth it as you will have great scenic views of Uganda, meeting locals who are ever hospitable people. We proceed to Western Uganda with our first stop at the Equator for pictures. We will have a lunch break in Mbarara after lunch, you will proceed with our drive though Kigezi highlands commonly known as “the Switzerland of Africa”. Reach to our lodge for refreshment as we wait for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge or Icumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking: Day 2 of 3 day Uganda Gorilla safari is the long a waited day of the trip!! After our morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing by the game rangers before you will be distributed in groups of 8 people and allocated the Gorilla families to trek. Each group will be accompanied by a game ranger who will be your guide at the forest. After getting the Gorillas you will be allowed to spend one hour with them if you are doing Gorilla trekking if one is doing Gorilla habituation where the group is strictly four people you will spend 4 hours with the gorillas.
Return to headquaters: After trekking return back to the headquarters. You will be issued with trekking certificates you take back home to show that you successfully trek the Gorillas in Uganda Bwindi impenetrable Forest. The chances of seeing the Gorillas are 99%
Community tour (Optional): In the evening go for an optional community walk to the Batwa indigenous tribe, see the community Cultural performance, dressing code, way of life, visit the local community schools around and many more. Return back to your lodge for Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge or Icumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 3: Bwindi to Kampala or Entebbe

Departure: On day 3 of the 3 day Uganda Gorilla Safari bye to the lodge management and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Kampala en route the Equator and arrive in Kampala the evening. Drop off at your hotel in Kampala or to the Entebbe international airport for your late flight back home.
