Detailed itinerary for the safari
Day 1 arrive in Kigali and transfer to Akagera national park
On the first day of the safari you will be picked from your hotel by your safari driver after morning breakfast, your driver will brief you about the safari and then embark on your journey to Akagera national park . From Kigali to Akagera national park is a drive of 2-3 hours, on your way you will make a stopover in Nyakarambi Village where you will meet local women and enjoy sights of Imigongo paintings painted using cow dung. From the village you will head to the park and upon reaching the park you will check into your lodge, have lunch and then drive to the park for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. While cruising on the lake you will enjoy sights of many animals such as elephants, crocodiles, different antelopes, hippos and many bird species such as the rare shoe bill.

Day 2: Full day game drive in akagera national park
On the second of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for an early morning game drive after morning breakfast then drive to the park, on the game drive you will see many animals such as impalas, Oribis, elephants, Topis, buffaloes, bush bucks, zebras, water bucks, giraffes, cape elands and many primates such as baboons living in the forest galleries of the park. Then you will drive to the lodge for lunch and then in the afternoon you will drive back to the park for an afternoon game drive, while driving in the park you will see many animals and after you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3 return to Kigali
On the third day and the last day of the safari you will wake up early in morning for early morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to the park for early morning game drive. on the morning game drive you will see many animals and amazing birds of various species, after the game drive you will embark on your journey to kigali city, in kigali you will have lunch, be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for the end of your safari.
