Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi (Uganda).

  • Arrival and transfer to Bwindi: Depending on your location in Kigali or even on arrival though needs to be early, our driver-guide will meet you and brief you on the itinerary. After the briefing, you will start your drive to Uganda through the Kyanika border where you have brief stop for clearing at the immigration before we continue to Bwindi impenetrable forest. We have lunch break enroute before we head to our lodge for evening leisure, refreshments before we get our dinner served. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience-Rushaga

  • Gorilla trekking: This is a long-awaited day of this trip, we start it with early morning breakfast before we drive to the park headquarters for briefing. After the briefing, guests will be grouped in a group of 8 per group for Gorilla trekking and 4 people per group for Gorilla habituation experience. After the briefing the game ranger will lead the group to a specific allocated gorilla family, each group will track different Gorilla families. The experience is a worrisome and unique meeting face to face with our ancestors in their natural habitats. Gorilla tracking between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas on the previous day, after encountering the Gorillas we will spend one hour with the gorillas before we go back to the park headquarters where trackers will the issued with Gorilla trekking certificates. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at a very close range. You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After your driver will drive you back to your lodge for relaxing evening with more optional activities available like community walk, birding and many more. Have dinner overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 3: Return to Kigali city

  • Departure: Wake up early and enjoy your breakfast as we check out of the lodge to say goodbye to the lodge management before we drive back to Kigali where you will be dropped to the agreed destination.
