Detailed Itinerary for the safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park
One the first day of your safari you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, you will meet your safari driver who will brief you about the safari and then embark on your approximately 6 – 7 hours drive to kibale national park. On your way to the park you will enjoy sceneries of remarkable landscape, local people doing their day to day work and traditional home and also you will have en-route lunch in fort portal town. When you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge, have an evening of relaxing and in the evening you will dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzees trekking experience and nature walk in bigodi swamp
On the second of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, leave your lodge and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing. In briefing rules and regulations to be abide with while on chimpanzee tracking experience will be read to you, then you will head in to the forest in search for the chimpanzees. As you look for chimpanzees you will enjoy sights of other primates such as Olive baboons, L’Hoest monkeys, pottos, Vervet monkeys, silver monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, many beautiful species of plants and birds. When find the chimpanzees you are allowed to spend one hour with them that is by taking pictures, watching them collect fruits, groom and feed their babies and many more. These chimpanzees are habituated which makes them friendly to human presence, after the experience you will drive back to your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon you will drive bigodi swamp for a nature walk. Bigodi swamp sanctuary is a home to many bird species and while on your walk in swamp you will amused to see these birds such as Great Blue Turaco, rare Papyrus Gonolek, Egrets, herons, crested crane, secretary bird, shoebill, Silverbird, grey crested helmeted shrike and many more. Bigodi swamp sanctuary is also a home to red colobus monkeys and sitatuga which are easily encountered, after a full day you will drive back to your and in the evening you will dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3: transfer back to Kampala (End of the Uganda chimpanzee trekking tour)
On the third day of the safari you will wake up in morning not as early as the last two days, have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on your journey back to kampala, upon your arrival in kampala you will have lunch and then be dropped off either at your hotel or at Entebbe international airport for departure.
