Details of the 3 Days Gorilla experience

Day 1: Pick up and transfer from Kigali

Pick Up: You will be picked up from Kigali by your guide who will meet you and brief you about your 3 days gorilla trekking trip.
Transfer to Bwindi: After the briefing, you will be driven to the Cyanika border where you will cross to Kisoro in Uganda. You will drive through Kisoro town where you will see different attractions such as lake mutanda, visit local craft shops for souvenirs and later have lunch in Kisoro. After lunch, you will continue your journey to Bwindi national park. On arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will check-in at your hotel for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi gorilla lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

Gorilla Trekking Experience: You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge and proceed to drive to the Bwindi national park headquarters with your packed lunches. On arrival at the park headquarters, you will be met by the park rangers who will welcome you and brief you about the gorilla trekking activity and the rules and regulations to follow. After the briefing, you will be divided into groups of 8 people and each group will be allocated a ranger guide and a gorilla family to trek and spend one hour with that gorilla group. After the briefing, you will proceed to look for the gorillas in their natural habitat in the impenetrable Bwindi forest. During this Uganda gorilla trekking safari, you will see a variety of birds and other primate species such as blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey checked mangabeys, l’hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys. You will also see other wildlife species such as forest elephants, the giant forest hog, jackals, and the African civet. You will proceed to trek back to the meeting point where you started the gorilla trekking experience where you will be met by your guide who will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi gorilla lodge.

Day 3: Departure and return to Kigali

Departure: Wake up for an early breakfast and later check out of your lodge on the last day of your 3 days gorilla trekking experience. After checking out of the lodge, you will proceed to drive to Kigali City where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location in Kigali which marks the end of your 3 days gorilla trekking activity.
