Detailed itinerary for the safari

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai mara national reserve

On the first day of the safari your safari drive will pick you up from your hotel after early morning breakfast, your driver will brief you about the safari and by 7:30 am you will checkout of your lodge and embark on your journey to masai mara national reserve which is a drive of approximately 6 hours. On your way you will enjoy stunning views of the largest valley system in the world and upon your arrival in the park you will check into your lodge for lunch, after lunch you will go for a game drive in the afternoon and as you drive you will see many animals such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Rhino, Elephant, Wildebeest and many more as they graze in the short grass of the park. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Full day Masai mara national reserve

On the second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and drive to the park for a morning game drive, by 6:00 am you will start on your early morning game drive which is a perfect time for viewing many animals as they are just waking up such as lions, antelopes, hartebeests, masai giraffe, zebras, wildebeests, lions, elephants, leopards and many more. The morning game drive takes approximately 2- 3 hours, after the game drive you will go back to your lodge, have late breakfast and rest for a while. In the afternoon you will go for a visit in the Masai community, in the Masai local community you will you enjoy the unique tradition, norms and customs of the local Masai people. You will also get to interact with the Masai elders and be entertained by local music and dances, after the activity you will drive back to your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: return to Nairobi

On the third and last day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to the park a morning game drive, on the drive through the short grass of Masai mara national reserve you will see many animals and birds species and if you are lucky enough you will have an opportunity to sight the annual wildebeest migration as the wildebeests, zebras and gazelles cross mara river. After the game drive you will exit the park and start on your on your journey back to Nairobi, you are to arrival in Nairobi in afternoon for lunch and after lunch you will be dropped off either at your hotel or be transferred to jomo Kenyatta international airport for departure.
