Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is renowned worldwide because of these unique creatures the mountain gorillas and the golden monkey as well as the mountain hiking adventure along Mount Sabyiyo among others. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Depending on your location in Kigali on the first day of the 3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla & Golden Trekking Safari at Mgahinga National Park in Uganda from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to the park. The journey lasts about 4 to 5 hours drive passing through the Katuna border in Kabale. Along the way you will enjoy an impressive view of beautiful rolling hills in Rwanda, terraced farmlands, and scenic scenery among others. Arrive at the lodge, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. ‘’

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla & Golden Trekking Safari Mgahinga at Uganda from Kigali, you will carry a packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas which takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking, you will be able to view other primate species such as l’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, different plant species, birds many more.
When you find the mountain gorillas you will be allowed to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a gainful opportunity to observe their habits, and behaviors, watch gorillas feed, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos and record the breathtaking moments to show people back home after the safari. After the one-hour encounter with the gentle giants hike back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking. After driving back to the lodge. Day3: Golden Monkey and Departure to Kigali
You will wake up early and have morning breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for Golden Monkey tracking. Arrival at the park headquarters for briefing about the rules of golden monkey tracking. After the park ranger will lead you into the forest in search of the golden monkey in their home.
The experience can take about 5 hours and one hour to give to trackers to watch them as they jump from one bamboo tree to another as they play and eat. Then drive back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, drive out of the park and depart to Kigali. Arrive late in the evening, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advice.
