Detailed Itinerary for the safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala and visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
On the first day of the safari you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala by your safari driver after morning breakfast, your safari driver will belief you about the safari and then embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park which is a drive of approximately 5 hours. On your way to Murchison falls national park you will make a first stopover at ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking experience, ziwa rhino sanctuary is situated in Nakasongola in a distance of 180 kilometers north of Kampala near Nakitoma village. Ziwa rhino sanctuary is a collaborative effort of Uganda wildlife authority and Rhino Fund Uganda a Ugandan NGO committed to restoration of Uganda’s rhinoceros population, the sanctuary covers an area of 70 square kilometers and it hosts a number of rhinos in their natural habitat. When you get in the sanctuary you will engage in rhino tracking experience where you will encounter many of them, after the experience you will have lunch and then proceed to Murchison falls national park. You will arrive in the park in evening and then you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise experience
On the second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then drive to the park for a morning game drive, Murchison falls national park is a home to many animals such as herds of elephants, buffaloes, Jacksons Hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, Lions, leopards, herds of Buffaloes, giraffe, Waterbucks and many more which you will encounter will driving through the short savannah grasslands of the park. You will also see many birds such as hornbill, secretary bird, bustard, open billed stork, and many more, after the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon you will return for an afternoon boat cruise on the bottom of the falls/river Nile, on the boat cruise you will enjoy views of the thunderous waterfalls, many animals such as hippos, crocodiles and birds. After the boat cruise of approximately 2 hours you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3: Hike to the top of Murchison Falls and transfer to Kampala
On the third and last day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park for hiking to the top of the falls, on this experience you will enjoy magnificent views of the falls as water crash on the hard rock to join river Nile. After the experience you will exit the park and embark on your journey back to Kampala. Upon your arrival in Kampala you will have lunch and then be dropped off either at your hotel or at Entebbe international airport for your departure light.
