3 days Uganda Chimpanzee habituation safari (Kibale national park) is a short safari experience offering tourists with a lot of time with chimpanzees, chimpanzees are one of the primates found in Uganda and they are found in Kibale national park which is home to over 1450 chimpanzee individuals (the largest population in East Africa). This safari offers two safari experiences that is Bigodi swamp walk and chimpanzees habituation experience

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park
- On the first day of your safari you will have breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, meet your safari driver and embark on your journey to Kibale national park, on your way you will enjoy countryside views of gardens, people going on with their daily life, vegetable stalls and local houses. On your way you will have lunch in Fort portal and then proceed with the left journey to kibale national park, when you get to the park you will check into your lodge and in the afternoon you will go for a walk in Bigodi swamp. In Bigodi swamp you will spot many animals such as black-crowned waxbill, white-spotted Fluff tail, white-breasted Negrofinch, yellow-spotted Barbet, black bishop, hairy-breasted Barbet, Bocage’s bush-shrike, yellow billed barbet, brown-crowned Tchagra, black nicator, superb sunbird and many more.
- In the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight
- Accommodation is got from; Luxury: Papaya Lake Lodge, Mid-range: Turaco Tree Tops, Budget: Chimpanzee guest house, Meal plan – Lunch and Dinner, Journey time (from Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable national park) is 5 hours
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale Forest
- After early morning breakfast you will leave your lodge and head to the headquarters of Kibale national park for briefing about chimpanzee habituation experience, in the briefing a ranger guide takes you through the way you are expected to conduct yourself while in the presence of chimpanzees. From the briefing you will trek into the forests of kibale in search of chimpanzees, chimpanzee habituation experience offers 4 hours of being in the presence of chimpanzees and locating the chimpanzees takes approximately a fully and on this experience you accompany rangers and researchers as they follow the chimpanzees . When you find the chimpanzees you can participate in feeding them, training, take amazing pictures and enjoy sights of the chimpanzees resting, feeding and grooming each other.
- After the experience you will you will trek back to the park’s headquarters then drive back to your lodge, in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.
- Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (full board)
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
- On the third and last day of the safari you will checkout of your lodge after breakfast and start your journey back to Kampala, on your way back you will have en-route lunch and when you reach in Kampala you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
