4 Days Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari packing is a combined safari package taking you on a safari experience in two national parks that is Bwindi impenetrable national park a popular home for mountain gorillas and Lake Mburo national park which is a home to many wildlife species such as antelopes, zebras, topis, Uganda kobs, giraffes and many more, .
On this safari you will participate in activities like mountain gorilla trekking, game drive and boat ride on Lake Mburo.

Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: From Kampala to Bwindi National Park
On the first day of the safari you will be picked from your hotel either in kampala or Entebbe by your safari driver who is a representative of Focus East Africa Tours, you will depart from kampala and embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park in southwestern region. On your way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and when you arrive in kisoro you will enjoy the view of rolling hills of Kigezi with their impeccable terraces, upon arriving in Bwindi impenetrable national park you will check into your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
On the second day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast, meet your safari and drive to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking experience, in the briefing the head ranger will inform you about the dos and don’ts to be followed on this experience. At the headquarters you will also be assigned a gorilla group to trek and hire a porter who will assist you on the experience, then you will trek into the forests of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas which takes approximately 3-4 hours. When you find the gorillas you are allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas and this one hour you are free to take pictures as long as your camera flash light is off, enjoy watching the gorillas take care of their young ones, moving around picking food including fruits, leaves, roots and many more.
On the experience you will go with your packed lunch and after the experience you will trek back to the headquarters, meet your safari driver and driver back to the lodge or go for an optional Batwa trail experience to meet the early inhabitants of the forest. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Lake Mburo National Park
On the third day of the safari you will have morning breakfast, checkout of the lodge and embark on your drive eastwards heading to Lake Mburo national park. Lake Mburo national park is one of the small national parks in Uganda but a very rewarding destination as it is a home to a huge population of antelopes and many other animals such as Burchell’s Zebra, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes, impala, topi, eland, bush buck, leopard, hyena, jackals and many more. On your way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and upon your arrival you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight

Day 4: Boat ride on Lake Mburo and transfer back to Kampala
On the fourth day of the safari you will have breakfast, meet your safari driver to go the park for a boat ride on lake Mburo, as you sail on the calm waters of the lake you will spot many animals buffaloes antelopes, , crocodiles, hippos and many bird species such as crested cranes, herons, saddle bill stork, Abyssinian ground hornbills and many more. While at the lake you will get a chance to view and visit other small lakes such as Lake Bwa and Lake Kazamu, after the experience you will drive back to the lodge for lunch then checkout of the lodge and embark on your drive back to Kampala. Upon arriving in Kampala you will be drop off either at the hotel or at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
