Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Rwanda
On the first day of your safari you will be picked from the Kigali international airport upon arrival, you will meet your safari driver who will brief you about the safari and then drive you to your lodge, depending on the time of your arrival (if you arrive early) you will go for a Kigali city tour. On the tour you will visit places like kimironko market, Kigali memorial site,king’s palace and many more which will help you discover more about Rwanda . in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight .

Day 2: Transfer to Bukavu- DR Congo
On the second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, checkout of your hotel and embark on your drive to Bukavu in democratic republic of Congo using Cyangugu border southwards of Kigali city. On your way you will make a stopover in Butare thus visiting king’s palace in Nyanza, national museum of Rwanda and the Kigali genocide memorial site. During the city tour you will have lunch and after you will head for Bukavu and on your way you will enjoy scenic views of tropical forests of Nyungwe national park and clear views of Lake Kivu. When you get in Bukavu (democratic republic of Congo) Kigali you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight as you prepare for tomorrow’s lowland gorilla trekking amazing experience .

Day 3: Lowland Gorilla trekking experience in Kahuzi Biega – DR Congo
On the third day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and head to the park for an amazing lowland gorilla trekking experience together with your packed lunch, in the park you will go the park’s headquarters for briefing and hire a porter. Then you will hike into the forests of kahuzi Biega in search for the low land mountain gorillas which takes approximately 1-4 hour, when you find the gorillas you will be amazed by their extra large size, take pictures and watching the gorillas playing with each other and taking care of their babies. After one of hour of being with mountain gorillas you will descend back to the headquarters, meet your drive and drive to back to your lodge and relax for the evening. In the night you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali
On the fourth and last day of the safari you will have an early morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on your journey to Bukavu border crossing over to Rwanda using Cyangugu. You will have en-route lunch and then be dropped off either at your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali international airport for departure.
