4 Days Tsavo East and Amboseli safari package is a combined safari taking you on a visit in two national parks that is Tsavo East national park and Amboseli national park, Tsavo East national park is popular for being a sanctuary to a variety of wildlife species with a huge population of lions and other animals like elephants, leopards, cheetah, buffalos, black rhinos, gazelle, impala, aardwolf, Grevy’s and plain’s zebra, warthog, waterbucks, warthogs, civet, dik-dik, caracal, African wildcat, African hunting dog and many more.

Amboseli national park is one of the most scenic national parks in Kenya with a back drop of the highest mountain in Africa that is the snow capped mountain Kilimanjaro, the park is also a home to many animals such as giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, leopards, wildebeests and many more.

Detailed itinerary of the safari

Day 1: transfer from Nairobi to Tsavo east national park

On the first of the safari you will be picked from your lodge after breakfast by your safari drive who is a representative of Focus East Africa Tours , he will brief you about the safari and then embark on a 7-8 hours drive to Tsavo East national park where you will arrive in late afternoon. upon your arrival you will check into your lodge, have lunch and then go to the park for an evening game drive. with a help of a spot light you will spot nocturnal animals and predators such as lion, elephants, cheetahs and many more. you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: hot air balloon safari and game drive

On the second day of the safari you will have morning breakfast and head to Tsavo east national park for a full day of adventure, in the park you will have a hot air balloon safari which is a thrilling safari experience offering Ariel experience of touring the park and spotting a variety of animal species. As you fly in the sky you will spot animals like lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah, buffalos, black rhinos, gazelle, impala, aardwolf, Grevy’s and plain’s zebra, warthog, waterbucks, warthogs, civet and the scenic landscape. You will have picnic lunch set along Tsavo river and as you enjoy your meals you are entertained by numerous water animals such as crocodiles and birds.

In the afternoon you will have a game drive in the plains of the park and as drive through the savannah grasslands you will spot many animals such as elephants, leopards, cheetah, buffalos, black rhinos, gazelle, impala, aardwolf, Grevy’s and plain’s zebra, warthog, waterbucks, warthogs, civet, dik-dik, caracal, African wildcat, African hunting dog, duikers that is bush duiker, red duiker and blue duiker, eland, African dormouse, stripped and spotted hyena and birds such as buzzards, starlings, weaver birds, kingfisher, hornbills, secretary birds, herons, eastern chanting- goshawk. on the game drive you will visit sites like Galana and Tsavo rivers, Kanderi swamp and Aruba dam which are always crowded with animals. in the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: morning game drive and transfer to Amboseli national park

On the third day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and drive to the plains of Tsavo East national park for a game drive, this time of game drive is the best time for spotting predators such as lions, leopards, cheetah and other animals such as buffalos, black rhinos, gazelle, impala, aardwolf, Grevy’s and plain’s zebra, warthog, waterbucks, warthogs, civet, dik-dik and many more. After the experience you will drive to back to your lodge for late breakfast then checkout of your lodge and set off for Amboseli national park which is a drive of about 6 hours, on your arrival in Amboseli national park in the late afternoon you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi

On the fourth and last day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to the park for the last game drive adventure of the this safari, on the experience you will spot many animals such as leopards, lions, buffaloes,  elephants, hartebeests, oribis, wildebeests, zebras, wildebeests, and many more with a scenic back drop of the snow capped mountain Kilimanjaro. After the game drive you will set off for Nairobi which is a drive of about 3-4 hours, on your way you will have en-route lunch and when you reach in Nairobi you will be dropped off at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
