Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park for boat safari
Transfer to Akagera national park for boat cruise: On day 1 of 5 days Akagera and Nyungwe forest safari, your journey will start from Kigali the capital city of Uganda with a hotel or Kigali international airport pick up by our company representative and set off on day kigali city tour exploring different parts of the city after which you will proceed with the drive to Akagera national park arriving in the afternoon for an afternoon boat cruise at 3pm conducted on Lake Ihema with an opportunity to spot different wildlife including hippos, crocodiles, and many other mammals that visit Lake Ihema to quench their thirst over hot scotching sun in the afternoon hours. After boat cruise, you will enjoy an evening game drive as you return to your lodge for dinner. You may as well have an optional night game drive to spot nocturnal mammals that are always active at night and hiding during day hours.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Kigali for overnight
Morning game drive and transfer to Kigali: On day 2 of 5 days Akagera and Nyungwe forest safari tour, have breakfast served at your lodge then pack picnic lunch and meet your driver for an early morning game drive that lasts about 5-6 hours spotting plenty of wildlife species including Elephants, Lions, Antelopes, Zebras and many other mammals, birds, butterflies, and stunning floras of the park. After this game drive, you will exit the park ad be driven back to Kigali for overnight sleep.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park
Drive from Kigali to Nyungwe forest national park: After a relaxed breakfast at your hotel in Kigali on day 3 of 5 days Akagera and Nyungwe forest safari tour, check out of the lodge and meet your driver for a transfer to Nyungwe forest national park which is a home 13 species of primates including chimpanzees as the major primate in the forest. During chimpanzee trekking look around other primates that thrill in the park including Red tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Blue monkeys, Black and white Colobus monkey and many more. Lunch will be enroute with different stopovers along the way and upon arrival, check in your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 4: chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk in Nyungwe forest national park
Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk in Nyungwe forest: On day 4 of 5 days Akagera and Nyungwe forest safari tour, have an early breakfast and by 5am meet the guide for a transfer to the park headquarters for briefing after which you will be able to penetrate the forest in search of chimpanzees in their natural habitats. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will spend only an hour in their presence taking photographs and interacting with them closely. Exit the forest and return to your lodge for lunch after which you will embark on a canopy walk raised at 50M high about a tree top height.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali for departures
Transfer to Kigali for departures: On day 5 of 5 days Akagera and Nyungwe forest safari tour, arise from your bed for a relaxed breakfast after which you will check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver for a drive from Nyungwe forest national park to Kigali city. Lunch will be enroute with yet a stopover at the most beautiful and stunning Lake Kivu on your way to Kigali. Expect to arrive in Kigali city in late afternoon or evening and proceed to be dropped off at a hotel of your choice or direct at Kigali international airport for departures.
