Detailed itinerary for the safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The first day of the safari you are to transfer from Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable national park, on this day you will be picked from your hotel early in the morning after early morning breakfast by your safari driver. You will be briefed about the safari you are to have, checkout of the hotel and embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is a drive of 10-12 hours meaning it is a full day of drive. On your way you will have a stopover at Igongo cultural center in mbarara for lunch and when you reach the park you will check into your lodge, have dinner ad stay overnight.

Day 2: mountain gorilla trekking experience
The second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and head to the park with your packed lunch, in the park you will go to the park’s headquarters for briefing about the experience, be grouped into groups and assigned a group to trek. From the headquarters you will hike in to the forest for mountain gorillas which takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on the terrain and the location of the group, when you meet the mountain gorillas you will be allowed to be with mountain gorillas for only one hour. In one hour you are allowed to take pictures as long as your flashlight is off, then descend back to the park’s headquarters. Since you have your packed lunch while on the way, from the headquarters you will either drive back to your lodge for those who are tired or go for a community visit in the batwa community. In the batwa community you will encounter and witness local building of houses using local materials, hunting, visiting local herbalists and many more. After the activity you will drive back to your lodge, have diner and stay overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
On the third of the safari is a day of transfer from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Queen Elizabeth national park through ishasha sector, on this day you will wake up in the morning for breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park which is a drive of 3-4 hours. On your way through the ishasha sector you will enjoy sights of tree climbing lions and other animals such as antelopes, elephants and many more. Upon arrival in the park you will check-in your lodge, have lunch, rest for a while and in the afternoon you will go for an evening game drive in the plains of Queen Elizabeth national park. Evening/night game drive is an amazing experience to see many animals such as lions, leopards as they get out of their hideouts to look for prey with a help of a spotlight. After the game drive and sighting nocturnal animals you will drive to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Early Morning game drive and afternoon Boat cruise
On the fourth day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast, head out to the lodge for a morning game drive. As you drive to the plains of the park such as kasenyi plains you will encounter many animals such as buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kob, antelopes, wild pigs and many more in the fresh green grasslands. The game drive takes approximately 3-4 hours of adventure and on the same experience you will go for a lion tracking experience where you will track lions using a tracking device, after the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon you will drive back to the lodge for an afternoon boat ride on kazinga channel. On the boat cruise you will be amazed by breathtaking sights of many animals such as elephants, buffaloes and many bird species such as shoe bills, egrets and many more.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Kampala
On the fifth and last day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and head to kyambura gorge of Queen Elizabeth national park for a chimpanzee tracking safari. In the park’s headquarters you will be briefed about the safari and start your chimpanzee tracking experience, this experience usually starts as early as 7:30 in the morning and it takes approximately 2-3 hours of looking for the chimpanzees. As you hike through the forests of kyambura you encounter many primates apart from chimpanzees such as olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys and many bird species. After the activity you will drive back to the park’s headquarters, exit the park and embark on your journey back to Kampala which is a drive of approximately 6-7 hours. On your way you will have en-route lunch, you are to reach in Kampala late in the evening and if you are having a late departure flight your be dropped off at the airport for departure and if you are staying in Kampala for another night you will be dropped off at your hotel thus the end of your amazing experience of 5 days Bwindi impenetrable national park and queen Elizabeth national park safari.
