Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park – Evening game drive

Transfer to Lake Mburo national park: your safari will start on day 1 of 5 days Uganda wildlife safari with a pick up either from a hotel in Kampala or direct from Entebbe international airport and embark on a 3-4 hour’s drive to Lake Mburo national park situated in the western part of Uganda. You will enjoy a stopover at the Equator which is the top stopover for all travelers heading on a safari to western part of Uganda. After the Equator, proceed with the drive to Lake Mburo National park for lunch. After lunch, embark on an evening game drive to spot some mammals including Zebras, Uganda kob, impalas, Giraffes, and many more. Return to your lodge later on for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Lake Mburo National park

Morning game drive & afternoon boat cruise in Lake Mburo national park: After breakfast on day 2 of 5 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari, head out for a game drive/ walking safari in the savanna park as you watch several park dwellers including mammals, birds, butterflies and many more that will make your game drive/ walking safari so rewarding. Return to the lodge for lunch and embark on a boat cruise on 1 of the 8 lakes that thrill inside Lake Mburo national park. During the boat cruise, look out for different species like Hippos, Crocodiles and plenty of water birds among others. Return to the lodge with an enroute game drive, have dinner and night sleep.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Drive from Lake Mburo national park to Queen Elizabeth national park: On day 3 of 5 days Uganda wildlife safari, you will enjoy a morning game drove or have a walking safari in Lake Mburo then return to the lodge for breakfast after which you will check out and meet your safari driver/ guide for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via stunning Rift valley region as you view the foothill of Rwenzori Mountain rangers. Lunch will be enjoyed enroute along the way. Proceed to your lodge where you will arrive in the evening for check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park

Game drive & boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park: Start your day 4 of 5 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari with an early morning breakfast then meet your driver for a morning game drive conducted in Kasenyi plains rich in fauna and flora species. While in Kasenyi plains, you will drive amidst a huge population of Mammals including Uganda kob, elephants, Buffaloes and plenty of bird species among others. Upon finishing game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and embark on afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel. While cruising along Kazinga channel, you will spot a huge school of Hippos, crocodiles and plenty of water birds among others. Head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive in Ishasha sector & departures

Game drive in Ishasha sector and departures: On day 5 of 5 days Uganda wildlife safari, wake up for breakfast at your lodge after which you will be transferred to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park to have a glance at tree climbing lions and other different wildlife species that thrill in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. This game drive is very rewarding as you spot the king of the jungle hanging in tree branches targeting the next meal. You will later on return to your lodge for lunch, check out and set off on a drive back to Kampala the capital city of Uganda for either hotel drop off or airport drop off.
