Detailed itinerary for the safari

Day 1: arrival and airport pickup

On the first day of the safari you will be picked from Entebbe international airport upon your arrival, your safari will drive you to your hotel and depending on the time of your arrival you can go a city tour in Entebbe. On this tour you will places like Entebbe botanical gardens, Uganda wildlife centre and many more. In the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Ngamba Island

On the second day of your safari you will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and then leave your hotel for Ngamba Island for your visit to Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary. Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary is an establishment started by Jane Goodall Institute to protect orphaned chimpanzees and those rescued from captivity, the sanctuary is reached by a short boat ride as it situated on Ngamba Island which is one of the islands in Lake Victoria. In the sanctuary you will get to experience being with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat and you will also get to feed them, you will have a full day of experience and in the evening you will return to the pier in Entebbe and the transfer to Kampala. While in Kampala you can have a short city tour visiting kasubi tombs and crafts village if you have time. In the evening you will drive to your hotel, have dinner and stay overnight

Day 3: transfer to Murchison falls national park

On the third day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, checkout of your hotel and embark  on your journey to Murchison falls national park. Murchison falls national park is a famous national park covering an area of 3,840 square kilometers, this park is famous for Murchison falls which is one of the highlights of the park. Murchison falls national park is a home for many wildlife species such as hippos, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, lions, crocodiles, waterbucks, antelopes and many bird species. Reaching the park is a drive of 7 hours, on your way you will visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will have lunch and also go for rhinos tracking where you will enjoy watching rhinos in their natural habitat. From ziwa rhino sanctuary you will drive to Murchison falls national park and upon reaching the park you will drive to the top of the falls where you will experience and enjoy impressive views and thunderous roars of the waterfall. In the evening you will drive to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

On the fourth day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and drive to the park for a morning game drive, as you drive in the short savannah grassland of the park you will have an opportunity of spotting animals like lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, waterbucks and many more. After the game drive experience you will drive to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will drive back to the park for a boat cruise, as you cruise on the Nile river you are to enjoy a cool breeze of the park, animals and many birds such as herons, crested crane, secretary bird , black chested snake eagle and many more. In the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: transfer back to Kampala for departure

On the fifth and last day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on your journey back to Kampala for a drop off. On your way you will have en-route lunch and in Kampala you will either be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe international airport for departure back home.
