This 5 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Primate Safari is quite rewarding with lots of remarkable attractions and activities. Queen Elizabeth National Park sits in the southwestern Uganda region and is home to a bucket list of wildlife and birds over 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species. The park harbours a large population of animal species including African elephant, African buffalo, Uganda kobs, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, hippopotamus, spotted hyena, chimpanzee and lion among others.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depending on your location in Kampala or Entebbe on the first day of the 5 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Primate Safari, your driver guide will pick you up and brief you about the safari and then set off the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. On the way you will have an en-route lunch in Fort Portal where you will proceed the journey with panoramic views of the beautiful scenery, Rwenzori Mountains, tea and banana plantations, crater lakes, and others. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant hab-midrange or Pumba safari cottages-budget.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 5 days Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari, you will meet up with your driver guide and embark for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector where you will be able to view animals such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, warthogs, giant forest hogs, view predators like lions, leopards, hyenas if you are lucky, different bird species, plants many more. After the game drive, drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will head for a tantalizing boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, a water body that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the boat cruise expect to see lots of hippo school and crocodiles in the water, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and warthogs quenching for thirst along the shores of the lake, view aquatic bird species, view fishermen preparing their fishing gear for night fishing, take beautiful photos among others. After the boat cruise adventure, you will drive back to the lodge. Have dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and optional crater Lakes tour
On the third day of the 5 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Primate Safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to drop you at Kyambura Gorge for a briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest trailhead in search of the habituated chimpanzee family – an activity that takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located. During the trekking, you will enjoy spectacular views of other primate species, notable bird species, animals, plant and tree species, and others. Once the chimpanzees are found you will be given an hour to spend with them as you learn more about their habits and behaviors, watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, playing, hunting, resting, taking photos as well as a moment of recording videos among others.
After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will descend back to the meeting point where you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch where you will either spend the rest of the day at leisure or head for an optional crater Lake tour where you will visit Katwe Crater Lake. During the tour, you will be able to interact with the local people who will be extracting rock salt from the lake so as to earn a living, visit Nyamunuka Crater Lake a great site known as the hospital for animals, Lake Bunyampaka, Nyamunuka many others. After the Crater Lakes tour, return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner,r and overnight as above.

Day 4: Full-day game drive inthe Ishasha sector
On the fourth day of the 5 days Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast at the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park for a game drive where you will be able to view the unique tree climbing lions if you are lucky, you will be able to view other animal species such as the Uganda kobs, waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants among others. After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala
On the last day of the 5 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife and Primate Safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to depart to Kampala. On the way, you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and then proceed the journey with another stopover at the Equator where you will buy craft items, art pieces, and paintings and take unforgettable photos. From the Equator you will proceed to Kampala, arriving early evening. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala of Entebbe or be dropped off at any place of your choice.
