Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On your first day of your trip, you will be picked up by professional driver guide who will brief you about the safari. After, you will start the journey to Bwindi National Park in the southwestern Uganda regions which estimates 8 to 9-hour drive from Kampala or Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the equator for water experiment and enjoying memorable photography among others. Continue to drive to another stopover in Mbarara for en-route lunch. Then after lunch, proceed to drive straight to the park, arriving in the evening. Connect to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi lodge for mid-range or Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge for budget

Day 2: Gorilla trek in Bwindi Forest National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. Gorilla trekking is a truly once-lifetime experience and unforgettable adventure. At park headquarters, you will be briefed about the do’s and don’ts. Thereafter, you will be led by the ranger guides into the thick forest and start your search for your assigned endangered Mountain Gorillas family. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally locate these friendly creatures that will entertain you with performances for about one hour.
The activity can take 2 -7 hours since the gorillas move up and down looking for food. This is quite an unforgettable moment where you will be able to see other types of the primates such as monkeys, and birds among others. Return for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Cultural tour and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After breakfast, go out for an interesting community tour where you will be able to interact with the locals like Batwa and Bakiga people who live in the villages around the park. During the community tour, you will be able to visit their homesteads, medicine men, and magicians, listen to ancient stories, and participate in cultural performances among more.
After the community tour you will return back to the lodge for early lunch where you will check out and transfer to Mgahinga National Park for dinner and overnight at Lake Chahafi resort for mid-range or Travelers rest camp for budget

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking
Today you will have relaxed breakfast, then transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the Golden Monkey tracking rules with your packed food and water. Later enter the forest to look for the monkeys. On finding them, spend an hour viewing them while taking pictures and capturing videos. After Golden Monkey trekking you will drive to the lodge for lunch where after you will spend the rest of the day at leisure, dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
Early morning, you will enjoy breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to go for a short game drive adventure where you will be able to view animals that you might have missed during the previous game drive. After the game drive, you will drive out of the park and depart back to Kampala with en-route lunch at the Equator, view the Royal drum Village at Mpambire for souvenirs. Proceed to Kampala and be dropped off at Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
