Day 1 of 6 Day Uganda primates and Murchison falls safari: transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls national park

On the 1st day of the safari you will transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls national park, after breakfast you will meet your safari driver who will brief you about the safari and start on your journey to Murchison falls national park. On your way you will have a stopover at Luwero triangle for  a historical moment, you will have another stopover in Masindi for lunch and then proceed to Murchison falls national park. When you get in the park you will visit the top of the falls for sights of the glorious Murchison falls, in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2 of 6 Day Uganda primates and Murchison falls safari : morning game drive and launch cruise

The 2nd day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast and then drive to the park for a morning game drive, on this safari experience you will drive on the Buligi game tracks on the northern bank of river Nile where you will spot many animals such as lions, jackals, buffaloes, waterbucks, hartebeests, Rothschild giraffe, oribis, elephants and many more. You will drive back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will return to the park for a launch cruise at the bottom of the falls on Victoria Nile, as you sail you will spot many animals as they drink water on the river banks and many animals such as shoebill, herons, grey crested crane, secretary bird and many more.  in the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison falls national park to Kibale forest

The 3rd day of the safari is for transfer from Murchison falls national park to Kibale national park, after breakfast you will checkout of lodge and embark on your drive to Kibale national park which is a drive of about 6 hours. Kibale national park is a tropical forest dominated national park covering an area of 795 square kilometers, the park is a remarkable home for primates with 13 species of primates such as chimpanzees, olive baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, L’hoest monkeys, grey checked mangabey and red tailed monkeys.

When you arrive in the park you will have lunch at your lodge and in afternoon go on a visit to the crater lakes famously known as Ndali-Kasenda crater, these lakes are situated in the western rift valley and at the lakes you will enjoy magnificent views. in the evening  you will have dinner at your lodge and stay overnight.

Day 4: chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

The 4th day of the safari is for chimpanzee tracking experience and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will wake up early in at 06:00 am and drive to the headquarters of kibale national park for briefing about chimpanzee tracking experience.  At the headquarters dos and don’ts will be read to you by the guide and then trek in to the forests of kibale in search for chimpanzees , this experience takes approximately 2-3 hours and on your trek you will spot other primates such as olive baboons, mangabeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many more. When you find the chimpanzees you are given 1 hour to be in their presence watching them play at the tree tops, picking fruits and also take memorable pictures. After the experience you will drive back to the lodge for breakfast, after breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

On your way you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch then continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park, when you get to the park you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: mountain gorilla trekking experience

The 5th day of the safari is for mountain gorilla trekking experience which an opportunity for you to meet the huge primates, you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast then drive to the park’s headquarters for briefing. In the briefing a head guide will read to you the dos and don’ts while in on this experience and presence of mountain gorillas, same at the headquarters you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, hire a porter and then trek in the forests in search for mountain gorillas. Tracking for mountain gorillas takes approximately 2-4 hours and because the duration you go with your packed lunch, when you find the gorillas you are given 1 hour of thrilling moments. In one hour you are free to take pictures, watch the gorillas taking care of themselves and picking food. After one hour you will trek back to the headquarters and drive back to your lodge or go to for an optional community visit. In the evening  you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: transfer back to Kampala for drop off

The 6th and last day of the safari is for transfer from Bwindi impenetrable national park back to Kampala, after early morning breakfast you will checkout of your lodge then set off for Kampala. On your way you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another stopover at the equator landmark for memorable pictures, when you get in kampala you will be dropped off at the hotel or at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight back home.
