Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kampala
- Arrival and transfer to Kampala: Your safari will start with meeting your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After the briefing, you will be driven to Kampala where you will have a look around the city and the different landmarks around the city such as the Uganda museum where you will get to know more about the history of Uganda. After your visit to the Uganda museum, you will have lunch and then you will be driven to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Naguru skyz hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
- Transfer to Queen Elizabeth: Breakfast will be served at your hotel in Kampala and then you will check out of your hotel. You will continue with your journey to the western part of Uganda. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. You will also visit Igongo cultural center to experience the Ankole culture and see their traditional arts and crafts as well as how to make different dairy products such as how to churn ghee among others. You will proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will check-in for dinner and overnight at Pumba cottages.
Day 3: Morning game drive and Evening boat cruise
- Morning game drive: You will be served breakfast early in the morning at your lodge on the 3rd day of your trip. You will proceed for your morning game drive to experience the savannah of Queen Elizabeth national park as you search for the wildlife species such as buffalos, hippos, antelopes, waterbucks, reedbucks, duikers among others which are very active during the morning. Different bird species can also be spotted in the national park as you explore the national park.
- Evening boat cruise: You will return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive and to relax after your first activity of the day. You will have a boat cruise in the evening along the kazinga channel where Lake Albert and Lake George meet. You will see various water birds such as hammerkops, fish eagles, herons, cormorants, king fishers, yellow billed storks, saddle bills as well as different wildlife species along the shores of the channel and in the water. Wildlife species along the Kazinga channel include hippos, buffalos, waterbucks, reedbucks among others. You will enjoy the beautiful sunset as you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pumba cottages.
Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe
- Transfer to Entebbe: You will have breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park and then check out of the lodge. Your guide will drive you to your next stop on your return journey to Entebbe which is the equator. When at the equator, you will enjoy photographic moments as well as lunch. You will also watch the experiments which are done at the equator such as the water experiment. Different craft stalls at the equator also showcase local arts and crafts as well as different souvenirs. After your visit to the equator, you will continue to Entebbe where you will check-in for dinner and overnight at 2 friends hotel.
Day 5: Trip to Ngamba Island
- Trip to Ngamba Island: An exciting activity awaits you on yet another day of your safari which will start with breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast at your hotel, you will proceed for your boat ride to Ngamba island along with Lake Victoria. You will get experience with chimpanzees which are residents at the Ngamba sanctuary as you watch their behavior and watch as they feed and interact with each other. After your experience at Ngamba Island, you will return to Entebbe for dinner and overnight at 2 friends hotel.
Day 6: Departure
- Departure: You will have breakfast at your hotel and then check out of the hotel. After checking out of the hotel, your guide will drive you to your preferred location in Entebbe which will mark the end of your safari.
