Day 1: Kigali arrival and city tour
Kigali Arrival and City tour: On day 1 of 6 days Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Chimps and Golden monkeys), you will be welcomed in Rwanda the land of a thousand hills by our company representative who will pick you from your airport upon landing. You will then set off for a transfer to a hotel in Kigali for lunch depending on your arrival time after which you will embark on a city tour exploring the best of Kigali including Kigali Genocide memorial sites, Market centers, craft shops and many more on your first day in the country. Return to the lodge late r in the evening for dinner and overnight sleep at Yambi hotel (Budget)/ Heaven Boutique (Mid-range) / Kigali Marriot hotel (Luxury)
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park
Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park: After breakfast on day 2 of 6 days Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Chimps and Golden monkeys), check out of the lodge to meet your safari driver and who will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and set off on a road drive to Nyungwe forest national park with an enroute lunch as you proceed with the drive through different plantations and overlooking rolling hills of Rwanda. The drive is so rewarding in that you won’t even blink an eye due to stunning sceneries encountered along the way. You will have a stopover at the Kings Palace and Museum as you head to the park arriving late in the evening for lodge check in, dinner and overnight sleep at Gisakura Guest house / Nyungwe top hill view hotel/ Nyungwe Forest Lodge /One and Only Nyungwe/ Kivu Resort

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk in Nyungwe forest national park
Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk: After breakfast on day 3 of 6 days Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Chimps and Golden monkeys), meet your safari driver with packed lunch as early as 5am and be transferred to the forest for a briefing after which you will be divided into different groups in case you are many trekkers such that one group uses the Uwinka trail while the other group uses the Cyamudongo trail head. Hire a porter and join your group for a drive to the starting point where the real trek adventure in the forest starts as you search for the chimpanzee species in their natural habitats. Since the forest is a home to 13 primate species, you will as well encounter other primates, mammals, birds and botanical that all dwell in this dense forest. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will spend only one hour in their vicinity taking photographs and interacting with the chimpanzees then exit the forest and return to your lodge for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a thrilling experience as you walk on a 150M long canopy raised at about 50M high with stunning view of Nyungwe forest national park and all the fauna and flora species that thrill in the park. This 2-3 canopy walk is one of the best in Africa. Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park
Gorilla trekking: After breakfast on day 5 of 6 days Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Chimps and Golden monkeys), pack enough water and snacks then grab your backpack well dressed in a gorilla trekking gear and head to the briefing point for a pre gorilla trekking briefing where the rangers will take you through a session of lectures about gorillas, the dos and don’ts during the trek, the possible wildlife to encounter and many more. After briefing, hire a porter and off to the forest start the adventure ready to come face to face with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats in the forest. Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend an hour in their vicinity taking photographs and learning about gorillas after which you will exit the forest and return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight sleep at Five Volcanoes /Mount Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury) /Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) /Muhabura Hotel/Garden Place hotel (Budget). Day 6: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Kigali for departures
Golden monkey tracking and departures: After breakfast on day 6 of 6 days Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Chimps and Golden monkeys), your safari driver will transfer you to the briefing grounds where you will be briefed about golden monkey tracking, the dos and don’ts and many more. After briefing, you will be led into the bamboo forest to track the endangered golden monkeys which are the most beautiful primates in the park. You will spend a few hours searching for these little cute primates after which an hour is allowed to spend with the golden monkeys. Exit the forest later on and be returned to the lodge for lunch after which you will check out of the lodge and be driven to Kigali for an evening or night flight depending on your air ticket details.
