Day 1: Visit guardians’ village and drive to Volcanoes national park

Ibyiwacu cultural village is situated in Musanze thus you will have to visit it before proceeding to Volcanoes national park. The experience at the gorilla guardian village is such a rewarding stopover as it combines the Rwandan cultural traditions, history and personal life style of the local Rwandese people in this village. After visiting Ibyiwacu cultural village “Gorilla guardian village”, proceed to Volcanoes national park for check in, dinner and overnight sleep ready to encounter the endangered mountain gorillas the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park & connect to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Gorilla trekking Uganda and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: After breakfast on day 3 of 6 days Rwanda Uganda double gorilla trek and wildlife safari, head out for a briefing before penetrating in into the impenetrable forest for a second gorilla trek as the first trek is already conducted in Volcanoes national park in Rwanda. Trekking gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 2-8 hours depending on the movement of gorillas. After finding gorillas, spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and watching gorillas in their close vicinity after which you will exit the forest and return to the lodge for a meal.
Later on, check out of the lodge and be driven to Lake Bunyonyi where you will arrive in evening and proceed to check in your lodge then have an evening Canoe ride exploring the islands along the lake since there are 27 islands situated on Lake Bunyonyi each with its own unique history.

Day 4: Explore Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Lake Mburo National park
Explore Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Lake Mburo national park: After breakfast on day 4 of 6 days Rwanda safari, head out to explore Lake Bunyonyi on a guided walk exploring different islands and encountering with the local Bakiga and Batwa in their farms. Day 5: Walking safari and afternoon boat cruise in Lake Mburo national park
Walking safari and afternoon boat cruise: After an early breakfast on day 5 of 6 days Rwanda Uganda safari, meet local guide for an early morning walk via well designated trails in search of several wildlife in the park. Keep in mind that walking safari isn’t different from game drive only that for this case, you will encounter wildlife while on foot as compared to the game drive where you be in a vehicle.
