Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1: Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park 

  • Transfer to Kibale: Your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel or any agreed destination early in the morning. You will have a briefing on your 7 days best of Uganda Trip then we start our drive to Kibale forest national park home of 13 primate species. We have a lunch break at Fort portal before we continue through vast tea plantations to Kibale forest check in our lodge for refreshments.
  • Bigodi Swamp Walk: In the evening go for Bigodi swamp walk as we start the taste of our safari experience. Bigodi Swamp is a community managed swamp that is rich with primates and birds. After the walk which takes 2 hours we go back to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

  • Chimpanzee Trekking: Our second day of 7 days best of Uganda Trip starts with breakfast, we park enough water then drive to the park headquarters for briefing. We will be briefed on our next activity on the itinerary that is Chimpanzee trekking. We encounter the forest to look for the chimpanzees and other 12 primate species in the forest. We will spend one hour with the chimpanzees before we head back to the park headquarters where the driver guide will drive you to our next destination.
  • Transfer to Queen: Depending on the time of our chimpanzee trekking we may stopover for lunch in Fort Portal or if early done we will have lunch in Queen Elizabeth national park at our lodge. Have a relaxing moment or have brief evening game drive to look for big games like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, kobs and many more.

Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise

  • Game Drive: Wake up early for breakfast and drive from early morning game drive in search for early birds. This is the most rewarding game drives when nature is very active, the predators are looking for the food of the day while the birds look for the early warms. Grazers go look for the early dues. You will have high chances to see more animals than evening game drives. You will view more residents like Elephants, Buffalo, Leopards, kobs, Antelopes, Gazelles, warthogs, bushbucks, and others.
  • Boat Cruise: Drive back to our lodge for lunch, after lunch goes for a boat launch on Kazinga channel a home of large schools of hippos, crocodiles, water birds and much more wildlife which come to cool themselves as well as quenching their thirst. This is a unique experience that lasts for 2 hours as you cruise in the peninsula. Your driver-guide will be waiting for you at the starting point where he will drive you back to the lodge with enroute game drive. This is always a hideout point for leopards in Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest

  • Transfer to Bwindi: Day 4 of 7 days best of Uganda Trip is a wonderful day as we will be heading to a home of the rare Mountain Gorillas passing through the sector of rare tree-climbing lions. The journey is a classic full of unique experiences. We have enroute game drive in the Ishasha sector looking for tree climbing lions as we head to Bwindi impenetrable forest. Check in our lodge for refreshments and cool breath of the forest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 5: Gorilla trekking

  • Gorilla Trekking: The long-awaited activity in our 7 days best of Uganda Trip is Gorilla trekking. The experience starts with a briefing by the rangers in the park headquarters. After briefing and grouping of the guests, you will be led to the forest by the park ranger. Gorilla Trekking is a very physical activity that requires you to be extremely fit. The activity may take between 3 – 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After trekking gorillas, we drive back to our lodge for some rest before we go for a community walk in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo

  • Transfer to Lake Mburo: We depart to Lake Mburo National Park as we go to the last destination of our 7 days best of Uganda Trip. Whilst on the journey, we shall stop at Mbarara District and have a delicious lunch made of local cuisines.
  • Game Viewing: After lunch, we continue with our drive to Lake Mburo National park. We shall reach in the afternoon and either do some game viewing. The game viewing activity is a chance for you to see the beautiful wildlife of Zebras, Giraffes, warthogs, lions and Impalas plus birds 

Day 7: Departure 

  • Departure: It’s the day we return to Kampala but we shall carry out an early morning game drive and have a late breakfast before embarking on our journey to Kampala. Whilst traveling to Kampala, we shall stop at the Equator for a lunch break and take some memorable photographs. The Equator divides the Northern and Southern Hemispheres of the world so feel free to take photographs with both legs on separate hemispheres. After lunch and photo-shoots, we shall proceed with our journey straight to Kampala and get dropped at the airport for departure in case you are departing on the same day.
