Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kilimanjaro international airport and transfer to Arusha
- Transfer to Arusha: On the 1st day of the safari you will be picked up from Kilimanjaro international airport by professional safari driver and guide from Focus East Africa Tours, from the airport you will transfer to your hotel in Arusha and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire national park
- Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire: On the 2nd day of the safari your safari driver will pick you up after morning breakfast, after a short briefing you will head to Tarangire national park which is situated in a drive of about 2 hours from Arusha. Tarangire national park one of the best protected areas in Tanzania to spot herds of elephants up close and it is dominated by giant baobab trees, bush savannah and seasonal marshes, the park is home to various species of animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs which are rarely seen, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests and many more.
- Upon your arrival you will go for a game drive for spotting of various animals and enjoying the splendid landscape through your open roof vehicle, at lunch time you will drive to your lodge for a delicious meal and in the afternoon you will return to the park for another game drive. In the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Early morning game drive and Transfer to Lake Manyara national park
- Early morning game drive: On the 3rd day of the safari you will have early breakfast, pack your stuff and head to the park for a morning game drive on which you will spot predators such as lions, leopards and the rare cheetah. After the game drive you will exit the park and head for Lake Manyara national park which is a drive of approximately 1-2 hours, Lake Manyara national park is expanse of protected area dominated by forests, grassy plains and Lake Manyara “an alkaline lake”. The park is a home to over 400 bird species with large colonies of flamingos, marabou storks, goose turkey, weavers, pelicans and waterfowls, Lake Manyara national park is a home to many species of animals such as giraffes, hippos, impalas, wildebeests, monkeys, baboons and many more.
- Transfer to Lake Manyara: When you reach in the park you will straight on a game drive and from the widows of your car you will spot many animals such as wildebeest, impalas, hippos, warthogs, lions, elephants, dik-dik, wildebeests and many more as they graze in the short savannah grasslands. At lunch time you will drive to your lodge for lunch and in afternoon you will return to the park for a boat ride on Lake Manyara, the boat cruise offers sights of many birds living on the shores of Lake Manyara such as flamingoes, marabou storks, goose turkey, weavers, pelicans, waterfowls and many more. Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park
- Morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti: On the 4th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast and drive to the park for a morning game drive for sights of various species of animals such as hippos, lions, warthogs, impalas, wildebeests and many more. After the game drive you will exit the park heading to Serengeti national park which is situated in a drive of 6 hours, Serengeti national park is a wonderful tourist destination dominated by short grass plains, savannah grass plains, thick bush and swamps. This park is known for experiencing the great wildebeest migration where animals migrate from Masai Mara national reserve crossing over to Serengeti plains, many animal species habit in the plains of Serengeti such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras and many more. Upon your arrival you will have lunch at your lodge then drive to the park for a game drive, on the game drive you will see many animals most especially around kopjes and watering spots. In the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Full day in Serengeti national park
- Full day in Serengeti: On the 5th day of the safari you will have morning breakfast and drive to Serengeti national park for a full day of game drive, on game drive experience you get to spot many animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, wildebeests, elephants, cheetahs, zebras and many more. If you’re lucky you get to spot the wildebeest migration as thousands of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles cross from Masai Mara national reserve to Serengeti national park, the wildebeest migration is dependent on yearly rainfall and it happens in the period of November to December and April to June. This period of December and November is characterized with short rain season and the herds move from the north hills to south plains, the period of April and June is characterized with longer rains and the herds return to the north. At lunch you will drive back to your lodge for a delicious meal and in the afternoon you will return to the park for another adventurous and sight filled game drive, in the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 6: Transfer from Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro crater rim
- Transfer from Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro: On the 6th day of the safari you will have morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and with en-route game drive you will head towards Ngorongoro crater, Ngorongoro crater is one of the largest intact volcanic crater in the world and a habitat of over 30,000 animal individuals with a large population of lions. From Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro conservation area it is a drive of about 3 hours, when you get in the park you will check into your lodge, check in and have lunch at lunch time. in afternoon you will go for a game drive at the crater for sights of animals such as lions, leopards, buffalo, rhinos, elephants, wildebeest, hartebeests and many more and sights of the crater. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight. Day 7: Morning game drive and transfer back to Arusha
- Morning game drive and transfer back to Arusha: On the 7th and last day of the safari you will have morning breakfast and make your way to the Ngorongoro crater flow, this crater is one of the wonders of the world and an extinct volcano with a vast super bowl which is said to have collapsed in 25 million years ago. The crater is dominated by woodland, lakes, river, forest trees and savannah plains and it is a resident for various animals such as leopards, cheetah, spotted hyenas, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest, black manned lion, monkey, bushbuck, waterbuck, black rhinos which are spotted while in the crater. The pinnacle of your drive is visiting the Ngorongoro crater which is refered to as Garden of Eden, after lunch you will ascend to the crater rim and transfer to back to Arusha. In Arusha you will be dropped off at the hotel or at Kilimanjaro international airport for your departure flight.
