Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali arrival and city tour
Kigali Arrival and City tour: Upon landing at Kigali international airport on day 1 of 7 days combined Uganda and Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Golden monkeys & Chimpanzees), you will find our company representative waiting to receive you in Rwanda the land of a thousand hills. He will brief you about this 7 days adventure as you head to the hotel in Kigali for lunch. Later in the evening, enjoy a city tour which is one the top things to do in Kigali Rwanda. While on a city tour, you will visit Kigali genocide memorial sites that were put in place to commemorate several thousands of Rwandese who lost their lives during the genocide in 1994, visit the beautiful Kimironko market, craft shops and many other beautiful places in the city. Retire for dinner and overnight sleep at your hotel in Kigali.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
Transfer to Volcanoes national park: Arise from your bed on day 2 of 7 days combined Uganda and Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Golden monkeys & Chimpanzees), have breakfast served and meet your safari driver for a drive to Volcanoes national park the only destination for gorilla trekking and golden monkey tracking in Rwanda. Volcanoes national park is one of the most visited parks in Rwanda by several travelers especially those who intent to trek primate or hike up the volcanoes in the park. Along the way, you will be able to visit more attractions including other genocide memorial sites. Have an enroute lunch along the way and as soon as you get to the park check in your lodge and head out for an evening cultural tour to the Ibyiwacu cultural tour where you will enjoy an entertainment of the thrilling cultural performances of music, dance, drama and storytelling among others. Return to your lodge later on for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes national park and transfer to Bwindi
Golden monkey tracking: On day 3 of 7 days combined Uganda and Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Golden monkeys & Chimpanzees), you will be up for breakfast then meet your safari driver for a transfer to the briefing grounds where you will be briefed about golden monkeys. After briefing, penetrate into the forest to search for these primates in their natural habitats. You will then spend an hour with them after which you will exit the forest and be returned to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, check out of the lodge and meet your safari drive for a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the largest population of the remaining mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, proceed to check in your lodge for dinner and have an overnight sleep.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park: On say 4 of 7 days combined Uganda and Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Golden monkeys & Chimpanzees), wake up as early as possible for breakfast then pack your backpack with enough snacks and drinking water ready to be transferred to the briefing ground for a pre gorilla trekking briefing where you will be informed about this adventurous activity, the dos and don’ts and any other information related to gorilla trekking. After briefing, hire a porter and be led into the impenetrable forest to look for the habituated gorilla family. The entire trek takes about 2-7 hours or even a full day and after finding the gorillas, you will spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and closely interacting with them at a distance of 7m apart. Exit the forest and return to your lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight sleep. Or else you may have an evening Batwa experience.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
Transfer to Kibale forest national park: After breakfast on day 5 of 7 days combined Uganda and Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Golden monkeys & Chimpanzees), check out of the lodge and embark on 7-9 hours’ drive from Bwindi impenetrable national park depending on the sector in Bwindi. You will enjoy an enroute lunch and a stopover at Queen Elizabeth national park where you will be lucky to spot the tree climbing lions. Upon arrival in Kibale forest national park, proceed to check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park: on day 6 of 7 days combined Uganda and Rwanda primate safari tour (Gorillas, Golden monkeys & Chimpanzees), arise in the morning in the morning for breakfast after which you will be driven to Kanyanchu for a briefing about chimpanzees. After the briefing, you will start the walk into the forest in search of habituated troops of chimpanzees. Be sure to spot other different species of primates since the forest acts as a home to 13 primate species including Back and White Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, Blue monkeys, Vervet monkeys, bush babies among others. After finding chimpanzees, you will spend only one hour in their presence then exit the forest back to your lodge for lunch.
Nature walk: Later in the evening, you will be led into bigodi wetland for a guided nature walk with an opportunity of encountering with plenty of birds including the rare shoebill stork as well as identifying several botanical species.

Day 7: Drive to Kampala for departures
