Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Rhino trekking and drive to Murchison falls

Rhino trekking and transfer to Murchison falls national park: Start the 1st day of your 7 days Uganda Gorilla trekking wildlife and chimpanzee trekking with a hotel pick up and be driven to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white Rhino trekking. Ziwa Rhino sanctuary was started in 2005 as a way of re introducing Rhinos in Uganda after total extinction. After trekking Rhinos, proceed to Masindi town for lunch before proceeding your journey to Murchison falls national park the oldest and largest savanna park in Uganda. Enter the park through Kichumbanyobo entrance gate and proceed with a top of falls game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise: After breakfast on day 2 of 7 days Uganda Gorilla trekking wildlife and chimpanzee trekking, you will be driven for an early morning game drive for an opportunity to encounter several species of mammals including Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, Uganda kob, Leopards, Hartebeest and many more. Return to your lodge for lunch and embark of a boat ride upstream to the base of waterfall. This waterfall is the world’s most powerful waterfall as well as the major attraction of the park. You will spot Hippos, Crocodiles and other attractions that visit the water body to quench their thirst.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Transfer to Kibale forest national park: After breakfast on day 3 of 7 days Uganda Gorilla trekking wildlife and chimpanzee trekking, check out of the lodge and be ready for a drive from Murchison falls national park to Kibale forest national park. This is considered to be a full day drive this lunch will be enjoyed enroute while dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk

Chimpanzee trekking and Nature walk: Have your breakfast as early as possible on day 4 of 7 days Uganda Gorilla trekking wildlife and chimpanzee trekking then be driven to Kanyanchu for briefing before penetrating the forest to search for the habituated chimpanzees that thrill in this forest. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park starts as early as possible with briefing and the trek in the forest lasts between 2-5 hours with only one hour of close vicinity with the chimpanzees taking photographs and interacting with chimpanzees in their natural habitats. During the trek, you will meet other primates since the forest is a home to 13 primates thus the best primate destination in Uganda. Return to the lodge for lunch after which you will enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary one of the best place for birders and botanical lovers. You will be able to spot several species of bird species including the rare shoebill stork.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park: After breakfast on day 5 of 7 days Uganda Gorilla trekking, wildlife and chimpanzee trekking, check out of the lodge and start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park where you will spot tree climbing lions and other mammals that thrill in this place. Enjoy an enroute lunch and proceed with your drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will arrive in evening for lodge check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Mountain gorilla trekking and Batwa experience

Gorilla trekking and Batwa experience: After breakfast on day 6 of 7 days Uganda Safari, get ready with your backpack ready for an adventure in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi where you will trekking in a home to the biggest population of the remaining mountain gorillas. You will as well encounter with different mammals, plant species and many more that call this forest their home. After finding gorilla, you have only one hour in their presence taking photographs and closely interacting with them. Exit the forest and return to your lodge for a relaxed evening after which you will visit the Batwa for a thrilling cultural performances. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe for departures

Transfer to Kampala for departures: After breakfast on day 7 of 7 days Uganda Safari, check out of the lodge and be driven back to Kampala the capital city of Uganda where you with an enroute lunch in Mbarara after which you will proceed to Entebbe. Head to a hotel for dinner in case you have a late night flight and also freshen up. The final destination will be Entebbe international airport for a flight.
