Detailed itinerary for the safari

Day 1: arrival in Arusha

The first day of the safari does not have many activities to do, it is majorly a day of arrival and relaxation at your lodge. On the first day of the safari you are to fly into Tanzania using Kilimanjaro international airport in Arusha, at the airport you will meet our company representative/safari driver and drive to your hotel. At the lodge you can chose to either swim, relax or take a walk in green coffee plantation around the lodge.

Day 2: Tour Burka coffee estate and Fly to Tarangire national park

The second day of the safari is generally a day of transferring to Tarangire national park, on this day you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then drive to Burka coffee estate for a coffee tour. On the coffee tour you see and enjoy many activities such as coffee picking, sorting of the coffee beans and taste the African coffee tea. From the coffee plantation you will drive to Arusha town, have lunch and then go straight to Arusha airport to fly to Tarangire national park using Kuro airstrip. Reaching in Tarangire national park the land of many mysteries and wildlife you will embark on an afternoon game drive, while driving in short grass of the park you will enjoy sights of many animals such as wildebeest, zebra, common eland, hartebeest, gazelle, buffalo, elephant and many more. After the game drive you will check in your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: full day Tarangire national park

The third of the safari is full day of touring Tarangire national park with activities like game drives both day and night, visiting Masai villages and sundowner’s experience. On this amazing and adventurous day you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and then set off to the park for a game drive, on the game drive you will enjoy sights of many animals such as wildebeest, zebra, common eland, hartebeest, gazelle, buffalo, and elephant most especially around Tarangire River. The game drive takes 3-4 hours, after the drive you will have a picnic lunch in the wilderness of Tarangire as you enjoy the scenic views of the park. In the afternoon you will for a cultural visit in the Masai village, on this visit you will enjoy the authentic African Masai life through their unique way of dressing, livestock rearing practices and many more. After the visit you will drive back to the plains of Tarangire national park for a sundowner’s experience where you will witness the beautiful sunset while enjoying a cocktail as set by your lodge, after the experience you go for a night game drive and with a help of a sport light you will see many animals such as leopards, lions and many more. At the end of the game drive you go back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Fly to ngorongoro crater

The fourth day of the safari is for a morning game drive and transferring to Ngorongoro crater, on this day you are to wake up early in the morning for breakfast, checkout of your lodge and head to the plains of Tarangire national park for a game drive. On the game drive you will see many animals such as lions, cheetah, and herds of elephants, zebras, cheetah and many more. After the drive you will have a picnic lunch and then drive to Kuro airstrip for your flight to Ngorongoro crater using Manyara Airstrip. Upon arrival you will meet our company’s representative and then drive to African market in Karatu town, a tour in the market will offer you sights to local people doing there day to day life and sights of many artifacts sold in the market. From the market you will drive to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: full day in Ngorongoro crater conservation area

The fifth day of the safari is a full day of touring ngorongoro, on this day you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and the drive to the crater. On your tour in the crater you will enjoy sights of both nature and animals such as a large pride of lions, elephants, buffaloes and sights of the craters which is forested on the floor. After the game viewing you will have picnic lunch in the amazing nature filled plains of the crater, after lunch you will have a nature walk and then in the evening head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: visit Lake Manyara national park and fly to Serengeti national park

The 6^th day of the safari you visit lake Manyara national park and then fly to Serengeti national park, on this day you wake up early in the morning for a delicious breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to lake Manyara national park. From ngorongoro crater it is a drive of 2-3 hours to the park, in Manyara you will have a horseback riding safari in the plains of the park where you will see many animals like leopards, cheetah, lion, white Rhino and many more. On the back of the horse you get to get a closer look at the animals, also in the park you also get to visit Lake Manyara which is always crowded by many concentration of animals. After horseback riding you will have lunch and then transfer to Manyara Airstrip to catch your flight to Serengeti national park’s Seronera airstrip. Upon your arrival in Serengeti national park you will have a short game drive as you transfer your lodge, at your lodge you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7: full day in Serengeti national park

The 7^th day of your safari is an adventurous full day of touring Serengeti national park, on this day you are to wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and head to Serengeti national park for a full day of adventure. In the park you will embark on a game viewing activity where you will see many animals such as wildebeests, lions, elephants, zebras and many birds in the park. After game viewing you will have an entertaining bush lunch, after lunch you go back to the wilderness of the park for another game drive. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for a sundowner experience where you will enjoy the spectacular sunset, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8: Fly back to Arusha

The 8^th day of the safari is the final day of the safari, on this day you will wake up early in the morning and drive for a guided game walk in Grumeti River. While walking on the banks of the river you enjoy many animals such as wildebeest, zebras, warthogs and many more, the river is a backdrop of the spectacular wildebeest migration as the animals cross the river. After the walk you will have lunch and drive to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha, in Arusha town you will either be dropped off at the Kilimanjaro airport for departure or at Arusha Coffee Lodge marking the end of your safari.
