Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe Airport and Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of your 8 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will be picked up by the hotel driver representative, who will drive you at the hotel. Arrive and check into the hotel, rest as you get ready for your next day’s safari journey to Bwindi – home to half the remaining great mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at Best Western Resort Hotel –Mid-range/Protea Hotel – Luxury

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After morning breakfast at your hotel, our driver guide will pick you up at the hotel to transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park which takes between 8 to 9 hours’ drive inclusive with a stopover at the equator. The driver guide will brief you about the safari. Then continue a drive to Mbarara with a stopover for lunch en route. Continue to drive along the way, you will enjoy thrilling views of rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and beautiful landscapes among others. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge –Mid-range, Buhoma Lodge – Luxury

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast in the jungle of primates, you will carry your packed lunch boxes and meet up with your driver guide to drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle which can last 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are found because they like to move from place to place searching for food. During trekking expect to view other primate species, forest birds, and different plant species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are located you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities like; feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, playing, observing their behaviors, habits, take photos and record the breathtaking moments many more.
After the one-hour incredible experience with the gentle giants, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your driver guide to drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to drive the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover in the Ishasha sector where you will be able to view the unique tree climbing lions which will be lying up on fig tree branches if you are lucky. After the game drive you will have an en-route lunch and then travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Queen Elizabeth bush lodge-budget/ Elephant hab lodge-midrange

Day 5: Morning game drive/optional lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise
On this day, you will wake up enjoy your delicious breakfast and then your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an adventurous game drive in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will be able to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, predators like lions, and leopards, variety of bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an impressive boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel a water channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the scheduled boat cruise which starts at 2:00 pm, you will be able to enjoy fabulous views of the beautiful scenery, and landscape, view animals such as elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, and waterbucks at a close range drinking water along the banks, view numerous of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, aquatic bird species many more. After a memorable boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast on the fifth day of the safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a short morning game drive in Kasenyi plains where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed the previous day. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, followed by check out of the lodge and start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you will connect to your lodge, check-in for dinner, and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest lodge-midrange or Kibale forest lodge-budget

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest
After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to drive you to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be led by the park ranger through forest trails and head in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. During the trekking expect to see other primate species, different bird species, tree species, and others. On finding them, you will be given one hour to spend with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to watch their behaviors, and habits, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos, and record the moments to show people back home after the safari.
After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver /guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch and leisure at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 8: Departure to Kampala
After a warmly breakfast on the last day of the 8 Days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Holiday Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. On the way, you will have an en-route lunch and enjoy beautiful views of scenic scenery, tea and banana plantations, local villages, and farmlands among others. Upon arrival in Kampala, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any advised place.
