Maasai Mara park fees are based on the entry of the park, location of the camp or lodge and the park entrance fees which must be paid in 24 hours. The park entry applies to both the Narok side of the main reserve and Mara Conservancy in the western corridor of the Maasai Mara though for Mara Conservancy areas. Note, persons under18 years of age are under child rate. So Kenya National Park entry fees are issued from the official authority ‘’KWS’’ Kenya Wildlife Service.
How to pay for park entry fees- Payment
Maasai Mara Park entry fees can be paid in different currencies US Dollars or Kenya Shillings which are accepted at the entry gates. But cashless modes are also typically accepted and you can use it to pay via Visa and MasterCard and the local Kenyan Mesa phone payments. Citizens and Residents of Kenya are required to pack identification and proof of residence to avail the cheaper Residential rates. Pre- payments is possible through the KAPS company that lies in the KATO office, Longonot Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi.

Do not off road in High Use and River Zones
Do not sit nor stand on vehicle’s roof at any time
No littering
Do not chase or harass animals
No more than 5 vehicles at wildlife viewing
No a lighting from vehicles at river crossing points.
Keep to graded roads and cut tracks in above zones.

All East African resident entry fees are applicable to members of Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi. They only required to present in his or her valid National identity card or passport to prove his or her resident status at the park.

Foreign resident’s adult is entitled to pay USD80 to enter Maasai Mara National Reserve
Non foreign resident children inside the Maasai Mara pay USD40 per person per day.
