Mburo safari lodge is perfect luxurious safari accommodation, located in Lake Mburo National Park in Kiruhura district approximately 3 to 4 hours’ drive from Kampala. The lodge is the best place that stuns with different faunal species which cannot be easily found elsewhere in Uganda zebras, impala and Eland antelopes and it is a resident for bushbuck and troop of vervet monkeys.

Lake Mburo National Park sits in western region of Uganda and it’s a UNESCO World heritage site and managed by ‘UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority. The park is a home to variety of wildlife species over 68 mammal species such as waterbuck, huge herds of zebra, Oribis, impala, Buffalo and elusive leopard and lion and around 350 bird species like shoebill, red-faced barbet and African finfoot many more. It takes about 3 hours’ drive from Kampala road thus making it the closest national park to Kampala. Game viewing
While on visit to Mburo safari lodge, you can go for game viewing where you expect to adventure huge number of antelopes and other species such as zebras, topis, eland, bushbuck, buffalo, warthog, leopard, hyena and jackal thus being an ideal place for walking safari and night game drives. Lake Mburo animals are habitat of dry hillside, rocky outcrops, bushes, thickets, open and wooded savannahs, forest, lakes and swamps among others.
Birdwatching
Birding in lake Mburo can be done along lake shores and the broad savanna and some of bird species to see includes; the rare shoebill stork, papyrus yellow warbler, saddle billed stork, African finfoot, brown chested wattle plover, Abyssinian ground hornbill, African fish eagle, saddle billed stork and white winged warbler among others.
