The main aim was to study the behavior of the primates so as to capitalize on the conservation of these primates so as to protect them and their habitats. Dian Fossey worked with her other group members like Jane Goodall who specialized in Chimpanzee habituation in Gombe stream national park in Tanzania and Birute who was in Indonesia where they specialized in Orangutans.
