Therefore, some of these bird species include; slender-winged terns, black headed gonolek, swamp flycatcher, white-winged terns, collared prantincole, pied and malachite, verreaux’s, eagle owl, pied and malachite kingfisher, grey headed king fisher, marital Eagle, grey-caped warbler African skimmer among others.

  1. Murchison falls national park.

Murchison falls national park is the largest national park in Uganda covering total surface area of about 3,893 square kilometers, which is located within Masindi district in the Northern region of the country. This national park is also seen as a birders paradise because it is a harbour around 450 bird species that tourists can easily spot the following bird species while touring around the park. and these include; the rare shoebill stork, swamp flycatcher, the red throated bee-eater, speckled fronted weaver, squaco heron, Malachite King fisher, African Jacana, giant king fisher, Northern red bishop, Black billed barbet, Abyssinian ground hornbill, Eastern grey plantain-eater and many others.

Mabamba Bay wetland is commonly known to be the best destination where bird lovers can easily spot the rare shoebill stork around the edges of Lake Victoria. However, there many other bird species to see around this area such as; the black kite, papyrus Gonolex, the African open billed stork, Malachite king fisher, African Marsh harrier, the black-headed Heron, pied kingfisher and many others.

Bwindi Impenetrable National park.
