Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Budongo forest in Murchison Falls National Park,
Depending on your location in Arua or Gulu on the first day of the 2 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Budongo Forest, our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel, brief you about the safari, and then transfer to Budongo Forest in Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you will enjoy splendid views of the scenery, and landscape with a stopover for lunch. After lunch, you will continue to drive to the park, and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Budongo eco-lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest and transfer to Arua
After an early breakfast on the last day of the 2 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Budongo Forest, you will meet up with your driver guide to head for a chimpanzee trekking briefing at the park headquarters. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest which can last about 2 hours to 4 hours depending on where they are located because they like to move from one place to another looking for food. During trekking, you will be able to view different bird species, plant and tree species, other primates many others. Once the chimpanzees are located you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a chance to learn about their behaviors, and habits, watch them breastfeed, feed, play, take memorable photographs, and record the moments.
After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch where you will start the journey back to Arua arriving early evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at any place of choice.
