Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park.
Depending on your location in Kampala ‘’Uganda or Kigali ‘’Rwanda and you will be picked up by a safari driver guide who, brief you about the safari and then drive you to your hotel –Amajambere Iwacy Community Camp in Mgahinga National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, and rest as you wait for your incredible hiking experience. Dinner and overnight stay at Amajambere Iwacy Community Camp
Day 2: Mount Sabinyo Experience and Depart back
You will be met by our guide who will pick you up from your hotel- Amajambere Iwacy Community Camp around Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, brief you about the safari, and then start the journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park the journey lasts 30 minutes drive. Upon arrival at the park headquarters with your driver guide with a packed lunch box, and enough mineral water bottles to keep you hydrated throughout the hike remember to wear appropriate hiking shoes, a cap, sunglasses, and long-sleeved attire but light among others.
After briefing, you will start the hike experience. The hike to the summit can last 8 hours depending on the climatic condition and other factors. The summits raise an elevation of about 3,645 meters above sea level. As soon as you get to the peak of the mountain, you will be surprised with an impressive view of a caldera and a beautiful view of the neighboring volcanoes within the park, spend some time. After, your driver guide, will drive back to Kisoro to be dropped at your Hotel or any advised place.
