3 Days Lake Mburo Uganda Wildlife Safaris : Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’s smallest game park covering a total area of about 260 square kilometers and was established in 1983 to protect a wide range of animals in the area. The park is best famous as a home to antelopes and being in water area with over 13 lakes which are located on the borders of the park but Lake Mburo is found inside the park where the name of the park was derived from. Furthermore, lake Mburo is located in western region of Uganda, approximately 3 to 4 hours’ drive from Kampala city. The park’s wildlife species include zebras, hippopotamus, impala warthogs, common eland, African buffaloes, these species are occasionally seen in the park like genet, civets, jackals, serval cats, hyenas among others and over 300 bird species. Lake Mburo national park is a UNESCO World heritage site and managed by Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup from Entebbe or Kampala & Transfer to Lake Mburo
On Day 1 of your 3 Days Lake Mburo Uganda Wildlife Safaris , our safari driver guide will pick you up from Entebbe or hotel. Depending on your arrival time, if it’s still early you will be briefed about Kampala City Tour.
After briefing go tour the Kabaka tombs where the fours kings were laid from and those of the palace house hold. You will also tour the Uganda Museum where you will discover the history behind Uganda traditionally and because of the time you will end up visiting the Namugongo church where the 32 pillars were killed from by king Mwanga because of faith. Then after, your drive will drive you direct to the park a 3:30hour driving journey.
You will drive through several stretches of papyrus swamps ,rain forest and farms of the long horned Ankole cattle .Arrive and have lunch ,rest .If it’s still early for the evening game drive .You go in the open savannah grassland to adventure wildlife such as herds of buffaloes ,zebras ,elands ,buffaloes ,bush babies among others species .Return back for refreshment ,dinner and overnight stay.

Day2: Morning Game drive & Afternoon boat cruise
On the Day 2 of your 3 Days Lake Mburo Uganda Wildlife Safaris , wake up have breakfast served from your lodge. After drive along the Kazuma track that offers great adventurous view of the park including the rolling hills and the five lakes. you will continue to drive in deeper parts of the park for gainful view of the wildlife and expect to see huge number of antelopes like zebras, eland, sitatunga, impalas, bush backs, waterbucks and klipspringer many more. The morning game drive allows you with great chances of seeing night creatures and predators like leopards, hyenas and jackals and others. drive back for lunch as you prepare for the boat cruise.
After lunch, go for afternoon boat cruise which starts at 2pm and you will be able to spot water bird species close to the shores of the Lake Mburo such birds are African fin foot, African grey hornbill, Brown parrot, fish eagles, herons, Nubian woodpeckers, papyrus bush strike, shoebill, crested francolin, fish eagle, Brown parrot, white winged warbler, yellow breasted weaver birds among others. You will also be able to encounter hippos and crocodiles and other animals along water banks linking for water like buffaloes, zebra, eland many more. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. You will enjoy night under brightening African star.
Day 3: Walking Safari & Depart back
On the Day 3 of Lake Mburo Uganda wildlife safari ,wake up enjoy your breakfast with tasty snacks . After you will go for walking safari around the salt lick where huge number of animals go lick for water ,continue to adventure into hidden wooden platform where you won’t be disappointed .Or You can opt to do horse riding which allows you get close to animals of the park .Or do sport fishing at Mazinga landing site but you will need to have your own fishing equipment’s and valid permit for fishing which is bought from ‘’UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority.
After, you will drive out of the park back to Kampala or Entebbe with two stopovers one for lunch Enroute and another one stopping at the Uganda Equator experience the water experiment, take photos as you stand in different parts of the earth hemisphere.
If time allows you can as well stop at Mpigi Royal drum makers where large ceremonial drums are being made by the kingdom of Buganda.
