The 3 Days Mikumi Safari with Maasai Village Tour is a short safari tour package that takes you to discover Mikumi National Park and which is located south West of Dar es Salaam. You will enjoy a full-day game drive in the Mikumi park where you will encounter lots of wildlife, a beautiful culture tour of the nearby Maasai Village and you will enjoy your lunch in the middle of the park at Mikumi cottages. Mikumi National Park is a spectacular location to visit if you are coming to the country through Zanzibar or Dar Es Salaam.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi
You will be picked up at the hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam by a professional driver guide who will brief you about the tour. After, you will start the journey to Mikumi. This journey covers about 5 hours, with a stopover –route for lunch in Morogoro Town. Arrive, check into the lodge and refresh. Then go for a Maasai village cultural tour. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mikumi National Game Drives
On this day, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the park. Start with pick up at the lodge by our driver guide after your hot breakfast. During your safari, you will explore elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, giraffes, impalas, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeest, elands, hartebeest, crocodiles, hippos, cheetahs, lizards and other animal residents.
The park is also home to a variety of bird species over 300 birds recorded. You will enjoy a sumptuous hot lunch in the middle of the park at the Mikumi cottages.
Then, later you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Day 3: Morning game drives and Transfer back to the city
After an early morning breakfast followed by en route morning game drive inside Mikumi National Park. Then after, you will exit the park and drive back in the city. If you’re traveling to Zanzibar by ferry, we recommend an early start to ensure timely arrival at the ferry station.
