The 3 Days Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park leads you to Uganda’s diverse wildlife and landscapes, including a game drive on the Kasenyi Plains, a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. Expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and hippos, as well as other primates like chimps, in the nearby Kyambura Gorge. The itinerary is crafted with early morning drives and afternoon activities to maximize wildlife viewing within a short time frame. It also involves a stop at the Equator. This trip starts and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer and evening Game Drive
You will be picked up from your hotel early morning by our safari driver guide. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the Equator for photos. Proceed to the park and arrive in the afternoon, and enjoy a hot lunch. Later, head out on a short evening game drive to start your wildlife viewing. Dinner and an overnight at a lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Launch
After morning breakfast, head on a morning game drive to witness more animals such as elephants, lions, and various antelopes. Visit the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park, well known for its unique tree-climbing lions.
Back to the lodge to have lunch and rest a bit. Then later, go on an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, with close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and numerous water birds.
Optional activities may include: night game drive to see nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking /Departure
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge, followed by checkout or optional chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura Gorge for a chance to see chimps and other primates. Start your transfer back to Kampala with a stop for en-route lunch in Mbarara town.
Arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled departure flight back home.
