Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi
- Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi: On the 1st of the safari you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala after morning breakfast by your safari guide, from your lodge you will embark on your drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park which takes about 5-6 hours. When you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience
- Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience: On the 2nd day of the safari you will have early morning game drive and drive to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking experience, in the briefing a game ranger will read you rules and regulations to be followed on this experience. From the headquarters with your packed lunch you will trek in the forests of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas, mountain gorilla trekking takes approximately 3-5 hours depending on the terrain and the movement of the mountain gorilla family you are trekking. When you find mountain gorillas you are allowed only one hour to be in the presence of mountain gorillas taking pictures, watching the gorillas taking care of their young ones and picking fruits. After one hour you will trek back to the park’s headquarters, from the park you will either go back to your lodge or go for an optional Batwa experience. In the evening you will have dinner at your lodge and stay overnight. Meal plan: full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Day 3: Flight from Bwindi to Masai Mara national reserve
- Flight from Bwindi to Masai Mara national reserve: On the 3rd day of the safari you will have morning breakfast, checkout of the lodge and together with your safari guide you will head to either Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip for your domestic flight to Masai Mara national reserve in Kenya. Upon your arrival you will transfer to your lodge, check in, have lunch and rest. in the evening you will go for an evening game drive, on this experience you will use a spot light to see animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and many more. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara
- Full-Day in Masai Mara: On the 4th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast and head to the reserve for a full day game drive, Masai Mara national reserve is a thriving habitat for numerous species of animals which include the big five that is lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. Other animals in Masai Mara include cheetah, giraffe, elands, wildebeests, zebras, hartebeests, spotted hyenas, and many more. These animals are easily spotted as you drive through the reserve in your open roof vehicle, while in Masai Mara you can get a grand opportunity of watching the great wildebeest migration which involves thousands of wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras as they cross from Serengeti national park to Masai Mara through Mara river. After morning gave drive you will have picnic lunch at the banks of Mara River and in the afternoon you will embark on another game drive. In the evening you will go back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight. Meal plan: full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 5: Transfer from Masai Mara back to Nairobi
- Transfer from Masai Mara back to Nairobi: On the 5th and last day of the safari you will have morning breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on your drive back to Nairobi, you will exit the Masai Mara with an en-route game drive and when you get in Nairobi you will have lunch. After lunch, you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight. Meal plan: breakfast and lunch (full board)
