Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park: On day 1 of 5 days Uganda tour, you will be met by our company representative who will be your Uganda safari driver for 5 days adventure. Your driver will take you in a session of briefing through the itinerary after which you will embark on a 9-11 hours road drive to the extreme south western part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will stopover at the equator for photography and equator experience then head to Mbarara city for lunch after which your journey through rolling Kigezi hills will proceed till you get to Bwindi impenetrable national park for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park 

Bwindi gorilla trekking: After breakfast on day 2 of 5 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Jinja white water rafting safari tour, pack your snacks, drinking water and wear your best gorilla trekking gear and meet your safari driver for a drive to the park headquarters to be briefed about gorilla trekking, dos and don’ts and many more and later on, hire a porter and penetrate the forest to start the search of gorillas in their natural habitats. The trek takes about 2-7 hours forest walk until you finally trace the gorillas then spend one hour with gorillas interacting closely. As soon as one hour elapses, you will exit the forest and be returned to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep. There is an option of batwa experience in the evening if you’re really in for another activity.

Day 3: Drive back to Kampala

Transfer to Kampala: On day 3 of 5 days Uganda safari tour, arise from the comfort of your bed for morning breakfast then check out of the lodge and start the long drive back to Kampala city with an enroute lunch in mbarara city at Igongo cultural hotel where you will then proceed with your journey direct to Kampala for an evening city tour, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Jinja and Visit source of the Nile

Transfer to Jinja: On day 4 of 5 days Uganda safari tour, you will start your day with breakfast then meet your safari driver to start the journey to Jinja with a stopover at Mabira forest one of best and natural forest reserve situated along Kampala- Jinja road. While in Mabira forest, you may choose to do a forest walk or even an optional Zip lining then proceed your journey to Jinja for lunch before proceeding for a boat cruise to visit the source of Nile River as was confirmed by explorer Speke. Later in the evening, you may choose to relax at your lodge or have a brief Jinja city tour.

Day 5: Jinja white water rafting and drive back to Kampala for departures

Jinja white water rafting and departures: As soon as you are done with breakfast at your lodge on day 5 of5 days Uganda safari tour, head out for white water rafting at Itanda water fall then return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a drive to Kampala where you will then be dropped off at Entebbe international airport to catch a flight back home.
