Your 5 days visit to Kidepo national park in northeastern Uganda will be filled with an awesome wildlife Safaris Uganda experience at different times of day and you will see a variety of wildlife species such as lions, leopards, the lesser kudu, mountain reedbuck, giraffe, caracal, klipspringer, zebras, jackals, hyenas and many other species of wildlife in the vast savanna wilderness of this remote national park. You will also visit the coffee plantations in Mbale and engage in the process of coffee making until it is ready for consumption.

Details of the tour
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Gulu
- Pickup and transfer to Gulu: You will be picked up by your tour guide who will welcome you and brief you about the details of your 5 days trip to Kidepo national park Safari Uganda. You will proceed to drive through Kampala City as you head out of the city for your journey to Gulu. On arrival in Gulu, you will drive to your lodge where you will check-in and have lunch. After lunch, you will have dinner and overnight at Bomah hotel.
Day 2: Drive to Kidepo national park
- Transfer to Kidepo: You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge in Gulu and check out of your lodge. After checking out you will be driven to Kidepo national park.
- Game Drive: During the drive to Kidepo national park, you will see the beautiful savannah grasslands, acacia trees and a variety of wildlife species such as buffaloes, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, and many others and the Narus valley. After the game drive, you will proceed to check-in at your lodge where you will spend the evening and have dinner and overnight at Apoka safari lodge.
Day 3; Full-day game drive
- Full-Day Game Drive: You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, you will go with your packed lunches for an early morning game drive. During the game drive, you will see the various wildlife species in this national park as they graze and hunt such as buffaloes, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, lesser kudu, mountain reedbuck, giraffe, caracal, klipspringer, jackals, and many others.
- Visit the Karamojong: After the game drive, you will visit the local community of the Karamojong who are nomads and you will see their traditional crafts, cultural dances and listen to their folk stories. After this cultural experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Apoka safari lodge.
Day 4; Game drive and transfer to Mbale
- Check out & Morning Game Drive: On the fourth day of your trip to Kidepo national park, you will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge and check out of your lodge. After checking out, you will have a morning game drive where you will see a variety of wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and the ostriches as well as other bird species such as the silver bird, yellow billed shrike, broad-tailed warbler, woodpeckers, bee-eaters, falcons and many others.
- Transfer to Mbale: After the game drive, you will proceed to Mbale where you will have dinner and overnight at Mbale resort.
Day 5; Departure
- Departure: You will wake up for an early breakfast and check out of your lodge.
- Coffee Tour: After checking out, you will go for a coffee tour in Mbale where you will be taken through the processes of coffee making from the nursery bed to the coffee plantations or gardens up to the time of picking the coffee followed by washing, selection of the coffee seeds, the drying process, fermentation until the coffee is ready for consumption.
- Return to Kampala: After the coffee tour, you will proceed to drive to Kampala which will mark the end of your 5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour.
